I wonder which Maria incarnation we'll get. She played slightly different in each of her appearances, didn't she?

Three dlc characters announced. Julius Belmont, who will be able to attack with the whip in eight directions and swing from shanoa's magnet studs like Simon. Maria who will have her doves and animal attacks, and Yoko, who will probably have spell scrolls like alucard. The dawn/aria of sorrow love is disappointing. Albus would have been more unique with his warping, firearms, and karate kicks.

Also, I read some of the older posts again, and now that I've actually played the game for myself, I must comment. The puzzles are just shortcuts, really, and totally unrequited to still play the levels. Most of the puzzles have ways to "cheat" around them in single player, anyway, such as hitting a switch and quickly backdashing out of the room, for example. Using the invincibilty frames of a healing spell or item to walk through fire comes to mind as well.

The timer is a nonissue. Half an hour is retardedly generous. The only way to time out is to have dead skeleton players getting killed and knocking chunks off of the timer. I've had time to wander around level 3, farming charlotte's spells, getting all of the chests, waking the boss up and having him destroy the back wall so I could get the chests that only shanoa is supposed to reach, and still had time to play with the book and fuck around with equipment. I even played with the slow to reset hammer to fight the boss. I had around seven or ten minutes left.

It's only rough when you're first starting out because you're so weak.

I'd be down to play online, as I still need a few achievements as well, but I didn't buy any of the extra characters or stages. The prices are too steep for my liking.

I've seen videos of all of the characters, and richter looks like a monster.

so how are we gonna all get that achievement for killing a boss with five other players being skeletons? got any friends?

Shanoa starts out better, but quickly gets surpassed. Soma starts out weak but eventually becomes amazing. alucard is like a poor man's version of soma.

I play shanoa and charlotte, BTW.

the valmanway is pretty crazy, but soma has lots of useful skills that he can power up, that make him very versatile.
