But, some of the games won't start! I need help, does anyone know how to get past the title screen on Mattell Electronics games? B17 Bomber, for example. I get to this green screen with the title on it, and then I can't do anything. The manuals that came with the games aren't helping.

Most games you can simply hit anything, such as the directional disc. However, many also have difficulty levels that you can choose by pressing 1,2, or 3 when on the title screen. (If you press the disc, it will start at the default difficulty setting.)
So, if you can't get past the title spash screen by doing anything, then that is a hardware fault. (Think, flashing red light on a NES.) You usually have to clean the cartridge, trying inserting it, then ever so slightly pulling it out a bit, whatever to get a solid pin connection.
Also, do you have the Voice Modual? Otherwise, any game with a gold label, (B-17 Bomber, Space Spartans, Bomb Squad, etc.) won't be much fun to play. As, many of the important game functions require you to be able to hear the speech. Like in B-17 Bomber, the speech tells you when your bomber is begin attacked, and from which direction. (So you know which guns to man.) Also, when you are coming up on the target to bomb. (So, you know to switch to the bomb sight.)
(This should also have been posted to the "Video Game" forum, not general.)

What a perfect "Knyte" question.
My one buddy is all about B17 bomber on Intellivision.
And yea, welcome to the forums but should have been in "Video Games". This will get moved.
Sorry about the wrong Forum. I didn't know Syd Lexia had one.
Thanks, Knyte. I'll clean them all. Rubbing alchohol and a Q Tip should do it, right?

Where did you acquire them from? It would probably be a good indication of what shape they are in.

Hex: I got them at a yard sale. The people were selling the entire console, thrirty games, and the Intellivoice Voice Synthesis Module for $5. I picked up the Intellivoice thinking it was a voice sysnthesiser, like for a microphone but then saw the Intellvision logo. I looked down, and the thing I saw it. I nearly fainted. I'm such a nerd. T_T
The people said it had been sitting in there basement for the past thirty years.

Very very nice.
Basement is good news. I was expecting to hear garage.
If you ever feel up to listing what games you got, I'd love to know.
I have about 45 Intellivsion games, but I got them anywhere from 1 to 5 at a time rather then all at once. 30 games at once would give me a nerd-gasm.
I had something very similar happen once. At a garage sale I bought a box with and Intellivision II and something like 15 games for $3. While I already had half the games, I didn't have an Intellivsion II, and it was quite the thrill.

Sorry, I kept being reminded of it...
Either way though, I've always been interested in owning all the old popular 2nd generation game consoles(Atari 2600, Intellivision, and Colecovision.) To me the really simple graphics, sound, and lack of music sounds really appealing to me for some reason. I've always would've liked for Nintendo to make an Atari section for VC and have the games perhaps priced at 200 or 300 points. Something I can buy for less than 500 at least. Doesn't seem like it'll happen though, which is unfortunate. The NES was an amazing older system, but some people including myself never got a chance to play the Atari sans off of Stella. So having another way to play them legally would be really nice.
