People come onto a news site, and saying that Nobama coming into the white house gives more freedom for mentally ill blacks to dump semen on white girls, and you say "They speak to some of the truths." Maybe being a good person some of you can go out to the corner and ostracize a few bloods for dealing on the corner and see what happens when they know where you live.

Being a person who grew up in poor-ass Jersey and poor-ass Pennsylvania, I've seen white, hispanic, and black poverty both up close and from afar. It's just as hard as it is to be a poor, white man working in one of the very few jobs in your Appalachian county, as it is to being a black kid harassed by gangs on the way home from your shitty Trenton school. Imagine your typical poor American getting some kind of minor crime on their record, and how hard it would be to get anything more than a burger-flipping job. Meanwhile, I know college student dealers with DUIs on their records working at accounting firms right now because daddy could pay the attorney fees.

The poor in this country are treated like shit anywhere, but blacks get the worst of the public view. Watch those Mao-esque working-man propaganda commercials you'll see on cable news channels. Fox News doesn't have commercials where they praise the working class, and show a black mother of 2 working at Carl's Jr. with no chance of advancement, just handsome-ass white male coal miners. On the other hand, someone says "welfare teat" and most people think "lazy blacks."

What liberals like me aren't asking for is for tax dollars to be put into checks for the poor. We're first asking for a little empathy, some understanding from even the most minor of haves to understand the lot in life of the have-nots. They can't just rise out of the ghetto when there aren't jobs. They can't get good scholarships unless they play sports, or they don't have rich parents to rub elbows for them, even assuming that their "No child"-bastardized schools even prepared them for some kind of post-diploma school. How can someone look at Bloomberg in New York focusing on schools, encouraging healthy diets, and convincing commerce to poor areas to the point where a blonde, lanky dude like me can walk through a sparkling, multiethnic Harlem without getting harassed and say "what's happening is wrong, we should have told the poor to go fuck themselves?"

It's empathy, not this new-age-Evangelist "fuck the poor, they're only poor cause they're lazy, dark-skinned criminals" crap that has helped the poor and disadvantaged minorities in impoverished areas. Go ahead, take one of my sentences out of context to fulfill your plans of saving the world through weeding out the darkies, I'll be busy working at my church's soup kitchen.
