Radiactive Ted can't die for 2 reasons:
1. He's already caused massive damage so clearly his power doesn't hurt himself
2. Petrelli hasn't come into contact with his power yet so if Radioactive Man dies now then the world will be saved.
Last episode I did think was phenominal, but something about Sylar's acting when he's evil bothers me. He did a good job pretending to be not psychotic as someone said, but he didn't make a very threatening murderer last episode when it got to that point. |
I think he does a good job of being muted in his murderous thirst. He's more self-satisfied and a little inwardly-gleeful than menacing. He sees only that the victim has a power that he wants. The director went for creepy and they sure as hell got creepy.

Syler is a wonderful villian. Just needs to keep his monologging in check.

Damn it, is anyone else watching this show? For the first time you get to see whats really going on with Claire's dad. They also give you a whole new slimy individual that works for the mysterious organization. Damn, I hate them so much

Sci-Fi's going to start running it from the beginning every Friday at 7 p.m. EST. Good to know for those who didn't get in at the beginning. I'll be able to finally see the first ep (the only one I've missed).

Bump. Tonight's episode is supposed to be ridiculously good; that's what I'm reading on a lot of different sites, anyway.

Heroes does look like it should continue to be excellent. Of course, everything said Battlestar Galactica was supposed to be amazing last night and I was disappointed with it. (Though Syd will disagree)

Its really good so far. Claire, like a normal teenager, continues to take dumb actions despite the good intent of the people around her.
Syler is a villian worth watching, while Suresh is idiot-ball free.
Peter Patrelli's brother would make a fine tragic hero. I hope they go that route.

Supposedly the bomb story is being resolved this season, but there are only 4 episodes left and 1 one of them is a "What If" episode.
I have enjoyed the ride thus far, but I don't forsee the current storyline being resolved to my satisfaction in a scant three episodes.
What's more, next season is supposedly going to focus entirely on character origins. I really hope that's not the case. Origins are best done "Lost" style where the flashbacks are intermingled with a clear and present conflict. If Season 2 does not have a unifying danger to bring the heroes' stories together, it will be a complete clusterfuck.

I've said that a lot with "24" especially season 2. In hindsight, I'm usually okay with it.

I'm very skeptical to believe that. They might do more origin stories next year, but I'm sure as hell there will be a new, badder villain and an even more serious threat.
Honestly, I'm more concerned whether Jeph Loeb will stick with the show or not.

Aside from George Takei, and I guess Malcolm McDowell if you really want to count him, who have they had?
And if we're going to count McDowell, then I demand some Montalban.

Boston Legal has more "Star Trek grads" then 24. Armin Shimerman, William Shatner, the guy who played Odo.

As I understand it Montelban was confined to a wheelchair after a stroke and has withdrawn from acting.
I hope I'm wrong, I'd not willingly pass up the opportunity to hear his flawlessly enunciated yet still charmingly accented speech, but seeing him infirm and brought low by stroke would hurt my heart.
Course, this may all be stuff I made up.

Well, he appeared the last two Spy Kids films and he did voice-overs for those Taco Bell commercials with the lions, so I think he's OK.
According to Wikipedia, he has been using a wheelchair since 1993, but it is due to a complications from a spinal injury he sustained in 1951, not a stroke. I am pretty sure he can still walk, just not for extended periods of time.

This is delightful news. Give him a power and let em loose in the show.
Now then, I'm curious as to what Syler does exactly with the brains he steals. Does he eat em? Tinker with em? Shape race cars? How does cutting open someones skull help you get superpowers? And is that a power of his, or did he just discover a method to steal it from others.

My guess is that he had a power that he could "feel" (always thinking he was special but not knowing why or how). He was on Chandra Suresh's original list so he must've had the mutant gene. Perhaps his contact with the first mutant he talked to (that guy in the watch shop with the telekinesis) triggered his ability to detect powers and absorb them. Why does he have to expose the person's brain? I don't know. It never shows him eating the brain or alluding to his need to eat it, but you never know. My guess is that at some point he'll explain, in the same way a Bond villain reveals his secret plan, how his power really "works".
Great couple of episodes so far. Excited for tonight's ep.

I'm really interested in seeing how Mikah winds up 5 years in the future because I doubt they could use the same actor, and in terms of storyline I'd like to see how his relationship with Mr. Linderman would end up.

Micah's dead, so I'm guessing it didn't go well.
As for last night's episode, I loved it. I thought it was well done (minus Greg Grunberg's complete inability to act...good thing he's best friends with JJ Abrams, eh?). Peter looked badass. I'm not sure how Sylar got away with pretending to be Nathan for so long, but I'm willing to suspend disbelief. I'm really pumped for the rest of the season.

Greg Grunberg's not that bad. You know who was really terrible though, that psychologist lady who tried to help Nikki get out of jail. She couldn't act worth a damn and I don't think I was ever happier than when Jessica beat her down.
Actually, that's not true. When Future Peter and Future Hiro beat the shit outta everyone, that was even better.
