hello guys! my brother and i did talk about good gameboy games lately and ended up in agreeing that TMNT: Radical Rescue is the best we've ever played.
i don't know if it was a famous game thats why i opened up this thread, because if you haven't played it, it is worth checking it out.
You started as Michelangelo and had to rescue all the other turtles, splinter and april o'neil. it probably will remind you of an mix of megaman and metroid except you won't get any new items but instead you get new characters.
if you fight a boss and end up deafting him you will eventually rescue one of the turtles, wich allows you to switch between your new char and the old one.
each turtle comes along with a special attack (michaelangelo is able to glide with his stick, raffael could crawl through narrow paths and so on) wich mostly allows you to explore new areas. the graphics and the music where cool too, especially the bosses i recall were animated very well for a gameboy game.
i liked this game very much although i was never able to finish it for reasons i can't remember right now.

it was the best of times
it was the blurst of times

Haven't played it, but remember seeing it recapped in a magazine eons ago, looked fairly decent. Might have to check it out sometime. I've played another GB Turtles game, it was just a lame sidescroller that was completely linear and just focused on killing enemies, no exploring. Couldn't really complain about it, as I found it free in a couch.

Nothing beats Turtles II: The Arcade Game for NES, regardless of what platform you're Turtle-ing on. Damn, that game was good. Way better than the sloppy arcade version.

I've played it. It wasn't that impressive.

You want TMNT IV: Turtles in Time, a superior port of a superior game. And I don't know what you mean by "sloppy", the original arcade was one of the best itself.

TMNT III for NES is also a very solid game, and at least on par with TMNT II

i think it really was outstanding and i played it more often then Turtles in Time although that the common sense is that turtles in time is the best turtles game so far. maybe it wasn't that good, i wasn't even 10 years old when i played it, maybe i was just to easely impressed....
