I remember a Super Mario World hack where all the enemies were taken out and all the pits and lava were covered up. Making it impossible to die unless you were fighting the koppalings or Bowser.

The space-ship shooter was awesome. I forget what it was called... Asteroids, maybe? That and Punch-out.
