Everyone loves the forum battle, but that does not give you permission to start spamming the general discussion board with threads. ALL campaigning is to be done in your official poll thread, and your official poll thread only. I'm going to talk to Syd regarding this, but as far as I'm concerned violation of this rule should result in immediate disqualification from the forum battle for both you and your teammate.

Seriously, what harm is there in a few campaigning threads? Folks are just getting into the spirit of it and having a good time, there's no reason to punish them for that.

yeah i was pretty much just doing it for fun. i checked the rules to make sure and there was nothing hard and fast in there about it so it was done. its always your prerogative to delete it or what have you but i think that violating a rule nobody knew about shouldnt result in punishment. still Ill go by whatevers decided. its just a fun little contest

Also, you locked and deleted the threads that Dorn and Aeonic made... but not Lem's video thread? And what about Satsui's rom hack thread? Either enforce your own rules or don't spoil everyone else's fun, Jeebus.

Satsui's thread has been up for a week, I guess it only bugs you when more than one thread appears at a time, Jeebus. 
Also, Lem's thread title is his team's name, I would've figured you could make the connection that it was a campaign thread.

1. Jeebus only locked the threads. I moved them to the moderated forum, because I don't like looking at locked threads, and this thread should have made it apparent why they're gone.
2. Lemon's thread has a video embedded, making it at least 10% less lame than the ones I moved. Should it be merged into the voting thread? Probably. Am I going to do it? Eh.
Jeebus is 100% right on this. Don't spam up the forums with campaign stuff. Your signature is your campaign. And whatever you post in your voting thread.

I agree with Jeebus, a bunch of campaign threads is going to lead to thread bloat. If they're all in one nice official thread it's much neater. If you can't b e bothered to scroll through the official thread then you probably don't care enough to vote.

Yeah, and we're the ones running this forum. When people start spamming the forums, we need to take action. Just because you were given permission to run this doesn't mean you have carte blanche to do whatever you want.

No. No "Eh." Just do it so we as members actually have a clue as to what the made-up rules are around here.
What are the rules exactly? No extra campaign threads? Or campaign threads are allowed as long as they have an embedded video? What about Usa's thread then? That doesn't have a video. Only lame threads get locked? What makes one lame and another x% less lame?
Again, if you're going to moderate, fine. That's your perogative. But do it completely and fairly. Don't do a halfway half-assed job and then get bored of moderation leaving us wondering what the hell you're doing. Either we're allowed campaign threads, or we're not. Which is it? It's not that fucking difficult to make a unilateral decision, is it?

There's a simple explanation for that...
Syd's in charge, you aren't. The mods don't make rules, that's up to Syd to do, the mods only enforce the rules. Given that you have a history of making up your own rules and halfway enforcing them whenever you feel like it, Jeebus, it's no wonder that no one gets behind you when you make an unpopular decision like this.
