I have no problem with people who smoke. They're not bad people or evil people or anything. I just think marijuana should be so illegal that no one can obtain it.

In the interest of getting to know you a little better, may I ask why? And is this a view you share of all intoxicants, or only those that have been outlawed in your country? Or perhaps weed specifically?

It seems a little strange to me that you have no qualm with people who choose to smoke weed, yet you ran me through instantly, and condemned the act of smoking before advocating it as long as it was another substance..

I apologise if it seems like I keep singing the same tune. To be blunt, I didnt expect this reaction from you, pro choice or not, based on all the things I read of yours before joining. And join I did, pretty much on the basis that I thought we'd get along, as naive as that sounds. This is your site after all. You write and jest in a fashion thats very similar to my own, about subjects I'm more than equally familiar with and attatched to.. still you've been nothing but curt with me, to put it nicely. Furthering my bluntness towards the realm of the obtuse, can you actually be friends with a regular bong basher? I've got just as many pixels as you Syd..

Also, relax Rake. Syd is simply a staunch anti-marijuana advocate, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, his just so happens to be on the opposite spectrum of ours.

I used to smoke pot, but I'm not gonna pretend it made me more intelligent or like, whoa man, more enlightened. It made me eat more and sleep a lot. I also could not stand the culture.

I really wasn't trying to run you through, and I apologize if it came off that way. I don't like the "natural" argument. And in responsible debate, you attack the argument, not the person. I attacked your argument. Not you. You seem like a cool person and I'm glad you joined the forums. I'll rejoin the debate later, I'm on my phone right now.

I think we should view Marikuana the same way we view alcohol and cigarettes

should EVERYONE be able to do it? well no, I think it should be controlled and used responsibly, regulated to make sure its done safely.

IT obviously has some benefits other then just recreational use and I would sooner trust marijunana over sleeping pills and anti depressants. That's just me though, I know in Canada, at least my part of the nation, marijuana is accepted and tolerated by the general public, on canada day people were smoking up while the fireworks were going on and... nobody cared. I believe its been reported that 20% of the canadian population use the substance and the federal government did a report on marijuana advocating its use saying the laws need to be changed to support the time.

However like alcohol, marijuana should not be used by those underage, its not a toy and if used incorrectly it could be disasterous... unfortunately with it being illegal and improperly regulated, not to mention with how incredibly easy it is to obtain and how low risk it is as a drug, pretty much anyone and everyone can use it with pretty much no risk of penatly... at least up here, im not sure what pot laws in the USA are like

I'm only 14, so my opinion probably doesn't matter to anybody here, but, since starting Junior High a lot of my friends have gotten into drinking and weed. Both annoy me, to be honest, but I think weed is the bigger problem, because it's much easier to sneak into school.

Anyway, I have a friend who I hung out with everyday, we were really good friends, but then he started smoking weed, knowing how much I'm against drugs, then he promises to never do it again. Then like, 3 days later, he actually invites me to smoke with him. I'm like, "okay" and rolled my eyes and smiled, then he whips out the little baggy. So I stopped talking to him. That was about a year ago, and I don't see him much anymore, because we're in different parts of the building (school) but whenever I do see him, he's walking strangely, eyes as red as the devil's dick, almost asleep. It kinda scares me.

He was the first friend I had that got into that sort of thing, but as of late, mostly since May 24, almost all of my other friend have gotten into weed, and 2 have actually done Meth and LSD. Now that's scary. They like, don't even smile anymore.

I have another friend, and she was in a horrible car accident years ago, and has a hernia in her back (I think) Her doctor gave her marijuana for medical reasons, and the only personality changes in her are increased happiness, she actually smiles now. It's good to see her not being in pain for once,

Anywho, if you couldn't tell from my little story there, I think it should be illegal for recreational purposes, but I think it should be legal everywhere IF prescribed by a doctor, or other authorized people, for medicinal purposes only.

I think that just further supports my point, I agree that teenagers should not be smoking marijuana for the same reasons they should not be drinking unsupervised or smoking cigarettes.

To me, Pot is a very important part of my life. When I want to grow plants indoor, Pot is optimal. Whenever I am running out of rupies, I go to my pot dealer in Hyrule's castle town and bash em up until I'm on my feet again. I'll never understand why Pot is illegal, I just hope the cops never bust in and find the many Pot decorations in my home.

I agree with this whole-heartedly, marijuana should only be available to those who can handle it responsibly.

And I don't know many pot heads, but the few I do know can be compared to the people I know who do more serious forms of drugs, like cocaine and shit. Marijuana users are by far more laid back and easy going. Plus, the shit they say makes me laugh. But cocaine users.. both when needing a fix and ON that fix, are always more high strung and fucked up. There is no way I could advocate something like that.

Yes, but where does it end? Right now, you just smash your own pots but how long before you're going into every house in the village, smashing every pot you find while the house's occupants huddle terrified in the corner? Sure, they might not do anything while you're there, they might even just repeat the same two or three lines of dialog every time you talk to them, but inside they're traumatized by this pot smashing maniac who destroys their decor searching for "rupies" or "hearts" in a ceramic fueled rage. Pots should be a controlled substance; the government should tell us what to keep in our pots and how many we can have. They should also offer an outreach program that weens addicts of pots with jugs or bottles. Though that just leads to a whole new set of problems...

^ Haha, I felt this particularly in Kokiri Village in Ocarina. I would always farm that one house that had like 6 pots, at some point I actually started to feel bad for the occupants, they had to have been traumatized.

I once got addicted to Elixir. I went through every fucking grandfather clock in every village I could find till I could get my hands on some. Tonic just wasn't cutting it anymore, and I no longer felt a rush at finding random potions. Drugs can definitely change your personality.

I also used to be addicted to herbs. Red, green, blue, yellow, you name it. I used to let giant spiders spit poison at me just to mix some blue and green...
