Oh dear lord, I hate this game. All of the characters look like robots created by a ten year old that're in desparate need of oiling.

Ultraman for the SNES is probably the worst. A fighting game in which you get to play as one person (the titular protagonist), everyone moves like they're fighting in an ocean of maple syrup. Or like they're on the moon.

I can think of a few others, like Deadly Towers. That game would be slightly less horrible if it weren't for the random warping to an inescapable labyrinth, the fact that effing tumbleweeds can appear out of nowhere and destroy you, and the stupid insta-kill cliffs.

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde on the NES, because it makes no sense whatsoever.

Bayou Billy on the NES. Probably the worst beat-em-up I've ever played, in no small part due to the worst hit detection in the history of the world, and the fact that enemies' punches do 5000% more damage than yours.

Honestly, I don't know how or why so many games were made in the Wizards and Warriors series, I've hated every single one of the games I've played.

It isn't a bad game in itself, but the award for Most Annoyingly And Unneccessarily Slow-Moving Text In A Video Game goes to Dragon Power on the NES. Either that or Valis on the Sega Genesis.

The NES version of Prince of Persia has some pretty terrible controls. You'd think there wouldn't be much of a way to screw up the controls in a game in which you only use two buttons and a d-pad (not including the pause button), but you'd be surprised.

Ultima V: Warriors of Destiny is a huge disappointment, considering the other two Ultima games on the NES are so excellent.

Yeah, you know it's gonna suck before you power up the console, but when it hits you it's a whole nother level of suckage. I own that piece of shit, I bought a whole bunch of carts from a friend who's parents obviously didn't love him. For ever Rygar and Contra and Adventure Island I got three fucking baseball games, two fucking basketball games, 4 racing games, Snoopy's Silly Sports Where's Waldo and fucking Gyromite sans ROB. Also Mystery Quest and Burgertime, Burgertime was OK I guess.

BurgerTime owes more to Donkey Kong than it does to Pac-Man. I wouldn't really call BurgerTime a maze game.

You can still scroll through all the comics by hitting "back" though. It's a lot more effective.

The Atari 2600 version of Donkey Kong Jr. was a real piece of crap. I thought the Atari 400 version was pretty good though.

My worst game ever is probably friggin' Two Worlds...
Horrible play control, a hero that one second tries to be badass and the next second cures himself and goes "Oooohoohoohoohoohoo, that tickles!" Fuck this game, fuck Circuit City for selling it, and fuck SouthPeak!

I actually have to disagree with this quite frequently. I liked Two Worlds a lot, and verged on loving it, while seemingly no one else did. I've played it in two games, and like most open world games, never beat it. However, it probably because what i love most in games is what I love most in life - exploring and collecting. Now, you can't really collect items like you could in Morrowind (I love Morrowind to death. Saving the world came second to having the most decorated house in the land for me) but you can collect stats. You didn't just get them from leveling up, you could also get attribute points and skill points be doing quest and killing certain enemies. One of my favorite parts of the game was how alchemy ingredients could permanently increase your stats (by eating Zombie Thyroids and Unicorn Horns, no less!)

I agree with you on the horrible voice acting, but it actually made the game more memorable for me. Me and my friends still quote some of it's awful lines. "Ah ha, Bandits!" "That's interesting." "Say hello to death!" "That's what you get!" I also love how everyone said methinks, perchance, I prithee and forsooth at least once a sentence.

Easy target, but Pac Man on the 2600. I actually own this piece of shit, and it's horrible. Complete fucking trainwreck.

My friends and i always quote Diablo 2. The german synch sucks that much, you just have to keep that in mind.

As far as something newer, Crusade of Destiny and Inotia on the iPod Touch are worm-fed pieces of dog vomit. Crusade of Destiny has the WORST character art I've ever seen! Stupid googly eyes.

As for something older, there are games like Fester's Quest and A Boy With A Blob that I thought were OK when I was younger, but seem like shit now. Jaws was a shitty game regardless of when you played it. There were tons of games that the magazines at the time made look decent(I guess because they bothered to make walkthroughs for them), like Gilligan's Island and other things that are really not that great.

I owned a 400 growing up and my friend had a 2600. I always wondered how the 400 was so much better even though it was a lower number.

Devil May Cry 2, Super Smash Brothers series, Grand Theft Auto IV, Call Of Duty 4... I'm sure I've played worse games, but they were probably when I was younger and didn't even notice they were bad.
