So I recently went back and played through Final Fantasy Tactics and ended up getting to the end yesterday, and even though I've done it a handful of times I still felt that awesomeness of kicking the shit out of a game. Anybody playthrough any older games lately, or wish to describe how great a game has to be in order to be played 10-15 years later

I tend to break out Gunstar Heroes from XBLA on a regular basis. There`s a bunch of master system games I haven`t beaten that I run through from time to time.

I used to play so many old games for re-play throughs. It has been a while though. I was thinking about playing Vectorman through again.

I like going through Resident Evil 4 multiple times. I think the amount of times I've beaten the Gamecube version is around 24, plus a couple of playthroughs on the Wii version.

I also occasionally play my "Final Boss Room" save of Megaman 64 just because of how awesome I think the final battle is.

I played through Gradius 1 yesterday. Has been not that difficult i thought it would be, Gradius Gaiden has been alot harder but it was good clean Gradius fun. Altough i'am not a huge gradius fan.
I often played through Donkey Kong Country recently, about 3 times in a row. And i played through Super Mario World also lately. I just can't get enough of some games and i love that.

I'll state here what i said in another game I owned FFT butt hole. I was dual wielding Excalibur and Queens Guard... Had Monk move, and Gut. Attacked twice for massive damage to anyone on the map with teleport, and i always went first. I had Hamedo for anyone who tried to attack me instead they took a ton of damgae (twice), and their attack was negated. I was a beast. And if they did hit me, I could heal myself (monk), and I had protection. Usually i had a healer (or someone who could heal) in the party.

I play all the old SNES RPG Classics all the time. I rotate through them, Finish one, fire up another. No rush to get through them, just casually playing them to enjoy them.

If I'm doing a lot of traveling, I load my PSP with PS1 Classics and start finishing them off, FFVII, VIII, IX. RE 1,2,3. And whatever else I decide to buy,

I'm running through FFV again. I want to get all of my party members to master every job. I've never done that. I've also gone through Metroid, Super Metroid and Legend of Zelda recently.

Did Super Mario Bros 3 in about an hour, no whistle. I was happy.

I didn't like Super Metroid when my father bought me the cart from a garage sale as a kid. I recently dropped my old pre-conceived notions, and fired it up on my SNES, and had a blast with it.

I have Phantasy Star 2 but I've never finished it. In fact I'm having a hard time really getting in to it. Probably because I got it many years after it came out and never really grew up playing it. I was kind of a 'Nintendo boy' when I was younger and didn't get a Sega Genesis till about ten years ago (long after it's popularity).

Played through Zelda II recently (second time in 6 months).
Before that, I had recently replayed Super Metroid, Zelda, The Guardian Legend.

I try to make sure I hit up Faxanadu at least once a year.

It's a rough game to get into. The story is slow moving, the characters are very dry overall save Nei and the thief chick and there's lots of grinding to do. Not sure I could even begin to play it again.

I just finished playing through a few NES games. Solstice, Dragon Warrior and Captain Skyhawk. I play through Mega Man 1-5 at least once a year, and have spent a considerable amount of time replaying Mega Man 9 in the past year. 720° is another one I play through quite often with a friend. And the one I play through most often, at least once a month, and still do new things in 13 years later is Castlevania SOTN. I held the top spot for beating Dracula on the XBOX Live leaderboards of SOTN until I explained how I did it to my friend, then he beat me, and now some punks must have hacked it or found some even more insane glitch I do not know about (which drives me insane). I am still trying to find out how they pulled it off, but I will settle for taking my friend's spot, cause he has been a major douche lately.

But yeah, I love that game the most.. SOTN is my favorite. Sorry about the long post and all.

I recently pulled off a no damage/no squadmates lost-run of the first two Brothers in Arms games (sounds easy until the manor mission in BiA2), and pulled it off. I seriously love those games so much, and I hope Gearbox has the time to make another sequel now that Borderlands has pushed them into the spotlight.

I bust out Ye Olde Street Fighter II quite a bit, just because it's quick and fun.

it's not super hard to do this to be honest. i was dual wielding ragnaroks with a move speed of about 12 squares at least, had ultima for the main pc (always just named him balbanes) and would chain-Mime the zodiac summon over and over again. beat the shit out of edilbibs and got everything from the dark dungeon, all the secret characters and clouds sword. if you invest enough time in the game, you can do everything and still get the shitty ending. i wont do it anymore because the ending just blows. worse than smb 2.

Who likes role-playing games? Me. Way too goddamn much.

I hope you mean Super Street Fighter 2.

There is nothing quick about Ye Old Street Fighter II: Thine World Warrior. Shit is slow as fuck. And only playable 7.5 characters!

I've been trying to get all of the endings on Chrono Trigger DS. Lavos isn't hard, he's just boring after a while. Also, I hate that there are only 3 saves slots. Gimme one of those old Sierra game with 99 save slots.
