Holy FUCK, this looks good. I can't wait to find out what they've made really great... and what they've decided to cut, like Dumbledore's funeral from the last one GODDAMMIT!

Seriously. That pissed me off too. My theory is that they're actually saving that scene to open the seventh movie here.

i'am not a big harry potter fan. I only red the first 3 books. the movies are more fun for younger folks, at least this is what i would say. Anyway the Prisoner of Askaban was a good movie i did acutally enjoy to watch. a liked the dark atmosphere allaround. felt like the whole series took one step into the darkness. the fourth although was a piece of crap.

I hate when people say this. It was actually very good, imo. For people who haven't read the books before hand, though, I can see why they might say this. But they did an excellent job of still keeping all plot points and twists intact.

I couldn't make it more than three and a half books into the series, but I have enjoyed all the movies. (The last one was the weakest of the lot I think, but the seventh should get things back into form in short order.)

That looks AWESOME!
Emma Watson said she was giving up movies and going to college after this franchise was over. I guess we'll see if that's true now.

Dude, if I had a zillion dollars (with more coming in royalties for the rest of my life) at her age I'd give up acting and go to college too!
Lucky kids. Plucked out of nowhere and now set for life. (Kind of like the author, actually.) Good for them.

I remember everyone being worried about Harry dying before the last book came out. I think it would be amazing if the movies pulled a fast one on everybody and killed Harry off at the end.

For all who say they only read the first 2 or 3 books...Book 4 is where they really start kicking ass. J.K. started getting into the groove during 3 and 4 is just excellent. My favorite is either 4 or 6.

I am eager to see this movie. I watched the first 6 movies and then read the 7th book since I didn't want to wait for these to come out. The story is great and it looks like there is a decent chance that the final movie will be worthy of the novel.

Final movie? Final-ly! Ahahahahahahaha.
I may have gotten into these if I had known about it when it first came out in '97, but I didn't hear about Harry Potter until sometime in high school. Plus, I don't read much fiction. I had an ex that made me watch one of the movies (The first one, I think), but I didn't really care for it. I imagine a good chunk of the magic there is seeing the book on the big screen.

I enjoyed all the movies and liked them more as they went on, although I'm part of the crowd that waited a long time to read the books. After I saw the Half Blood Prince (and loved it) I read all of the books in about 3 or 4 months which is a crazy pace for me. I really didn't think I would get that into Harry Potter, but apparently I am a larger nerd then I thought...

Sorry to burst your bubble but i am pretty sure that isn't her despite the resemblence.
On topic:
Yeah i read all the books and if you haven't read the seventh book...
SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS
Next to nothing happens in the last book. I found it a dull read actually. Most of the time, Harry, Ron and Hermione just wander the countryside. Nothing exciting really happens with them for a good amount of time.
And when Harry goes to kill Voldemort it is the biggest fucking anti-climax in the history of everything.
Literally what happens is Voldemort is standing in like the great hall or something and Harry is there and Voldemort starts this like monologue then Harry aims his wand at Voldemort, shoots and Voldemort dies.
When i first read this i was like wtfamireading.
There was no epic mounted wand battle, nothing at all like that.
Shoots him with wand and he dies.
It took seven fucking books of building up FOR THAT.
Man i was disappointed.

I enjoyed the books a great deal, especially the first four. The films however have always seemed off - they just don't feel right. I haven't actually even seen the sixth movie yet, though I suppose I will soon enough.
So yeah, my hopes for this aren't exactly stellar.

I have never read any of the books or seen any of the movies, but that trailer looks very badass and I do want to see this.
They would split it into 2 though, pretty greedy....
