i bet it gets announced for the ps3 a few months ago, i mean it would be nice if good games stopped coming out on shitty 360 hardware that slows down games and overheats

Yes, it's much better to release games on the system that's flagging way behind the 360 and Wii and has like three other worthwhile games released for it...
Is that what that Kojima Productions teaser site was?
Most likely, as the coding for it mentioned something like "Metal Gear Next".

We still haven't gotten an announcement on big boss, though in that issue of Qore a new MGS for the PSP has been announced.
also i would rather have my ps3 with 'three worthwhile games' rather then the 360 that has a library absolutely cluttered with first person shooters that all play the exact same way.

I would rather my 360 that has enough games to constitute a library than a 600$ MGS4 player.

Maybe if his game does well on the 360 they'll finally port MGS4 to the 360.

It'd be more likely they port this to the PS3.
also, my PS3 didn't cost me 500$, and there's a lot more stuff on it then JUST MGS4

THEY CAN'T PORT MGS4 TO X360 WITHOUT CHOPPING THE GAME TO PIECES!!!!
I wish people would realize this.
MGS4 = 50GB of COMPRESSED data on a Dual Layer Blu-Ray.
If they did port it, without altering the content, it would have to come on at least 6 DVDs, possibly more, I don't think they will do it. Also, it wouldn't work on Arcade systems or any X360 without a hard drive, as they are required to play, because the data is all compressed and has to be uncompressed and installed before it can be used. If you uncompress all the data and then put them on discs you would be looking at 10+ DVDS.
It's not happening. Deal with it.
*Note: I wasn't trying to go off on you IceWarm, it's just no matter how many times logic tries to come into the argument, the majority of fan boys cry foul. (On both sides, PS3ers and Xbox360ers)

I'm glad we are all pissy enough to turn a game announcement from yay a game coming out to a petty console war.
So to actually talk about the game it could be interesting, the Rising suffix would imply a prequel though the outfit seems to say otherwise, but a prequel could be good raiden fought in wars and that could be fun.

MGS4 is on the iPhone. So it could work on the 360.

Obviously you've never played Bioshock, Half-Life 2, Fallout 3, etc, etc, etc...
Whereas as PS3 has what? Resistance? Kill Zone? All of which are being ported to 360...

Look guys, stop fighting. You're both right. The PS3 is a glorified Blu-Ray player that has about 5 games worth playing. The 360 is a poorly designed piece of garbage that's guaranteed to break on you at least once.
There's only one console worth owning, and that's the TurboGrafx-16 Entertainment SuperSystem. Everything else is AIDS and fail.
I've gone through: (As in how many I've own due to 1 or more failing)
2 Intellivisions
2 NESs
2 SNESs
2 Genesis
3 PSXs
2 PS2s
2 Xboxes
2 Gameboys
And, I think my DS may be dying.
I think my TG-16, Amiga CD32, Atari 2600, and Atari 7200 are the only systems I have never had to replace or repair.
Also, I just heard that MG:Rising will be on X360, PS3, and PC.

Seeing this kinda makes me feel like the whole reason that a different main character was used in MGS2 was to have a character to carry the torch when Snake left the series. On that note, I've always liked Raiden, and it makes perfect sense that he'd be the new main character of the series.

Well, there is a huge gap of missing story for Raiden. Like from the end of MGS2 where he was all happy and everything was great, until he appears in MGS4 as an emo cyborg.

Wow, I know Syd likes to call Kojima a "hack" but I feel the new trailer for this game looks awesome, whether you are an MGS fan or not.
Very badass. The sword precision looks incredible, you can cut everything! I hope the new Force Unleashed takes some cues from this.
this will be fun i'll bet my right hand on that batman. i mean syd.
it was the best of times

I really liked when he cut through those pillars and the side of the building collapsed on all of those guys, looks like this game will really reward creativity.
