I would buy it. Might become collectable like a lot of knock off NES games. Hopefully they weren't trying to be total dicks and make the game super incredible hard.

Thirty bucks is totally worth it, if not for the fact that I don't own any green carts.

This is pretty cool. And really? These are the first people to do something like this since the NES went down?
They've got a whole bunch of other games, but most look like they suck. Like the monochrome paper airplane simulator, or a shitty columns knock off. The christmas card cart that displays a customized christmas greeting on the screen while playing a merry tune that had blinking christmas lights inside the cart it self was pretty sweet, but they discontinued that. They do repros of rare stuff too, like the ill fated space themed punch out II and that one super ultra rare Nintendo competition cart.

I'll buy it, what else did I get an NES for?

From some of the shots, the level design didn't look too bad. The music sounded pretty good overall, although there was a section of the melody that was totally ripped off from Mega Man, but I suppose it fits.

That would be lame if someone dumps it to a rom site, it's not like this is a old ass IP that no one is currently supporting.

That game has caught my eye, but surprisingly not as much as the Powerpak.

Damn, I would LOVE it if Nintendo still occasionally put out NES cartridges, such as Mother or Megaman 9 and 10 and maybe a few of the games that were supposed to be released, but never did.

Is it just me, or did that remind anyone else of I Wanna Be The Guy?
edit-- OK, I clicked the link and read it. I should've known.

Not only is that not right, that's not even wrong. It's a meaningless statement. Saying something is "one molecule away" from plastic is like saying a farm is one letter away from a fart. Water is "one molecule away" from being explosive hydrogen gas.

Regarding the Powerpak, it could render NES emulators obsolete. Playing various Japan-only games on an actual NES? If that's not a selling point, then I've been grossly misinformed of those things.
Do you think there is a viable market for NES games if Nintendo produced a couple of them per year?

I can't see them doing it, after all they've got the virtual console.

I think I saw this running at Magfest this January. It didn't look too compelling, and if I didn't know better, I never would have guessed it was made so recently.

The market for NES games wouldn't be viable. There aren't enough functioning NES consoles or physically compatible hardware out there.
