Yeah, basically, no one uses phone books anymore, and they're so much paper and all, that in a bunch of large Canadian cities, they'll no longer deliver the White Pages, unless asked. The Yellow Pages (ads, of course) will still be delivered.
-------------------------------------------
I think this is really weird... I've never looked up a phone number on the internet in my life. Heh, I guess I'm behind the times. I guess if the internet's as popular for that as they say, it's fine, it just seems so... weird.

<Drew_Linky> Well, I've eaten vegetables all of once in my life.

I haven't used a phonebook in at least 10 years. Like newspapers, they are a huge waste when you can get the information online. People who don't have the internet can still get the phonebook, so I think this is a good thing.

In Vegas we get phonebooks every six months even though I have requested not to receive them anymore. They immediately go into my recycling bin each time.

I use the phonebook for things such as pizza and such, but I can just as easily look it up online. They're basically useless overall.

There are currently four phonebooks in bags outside of my condo. We're seeing how high they'll pile up before they just stop, and then we plan on recycling them.

The only thing a phonebook is good for anymore is testing how strong you are by tearing it in half with your bare hands.

I used to work for Yellowbook, you have no idea how much money people spend for ads.

Yeah dude it's insane, especially considering how many people never see the ad. To me phone books are for ripping and the occasional emergency toilet paper.

Wow! Never thought of that. I'm going to go put mine in my bathroom cabinet right now, just in case.

Eh, I wouldn't suggest it over anything softer like napkins or paper towels, but they are functional if you need to pinch one in a pinch. *note, separate desired number of sheets from book before commencing operation, do not attempt with whole book*
