I got into the top video game design/coding/animation/anything to do with video games school in North America. I am really happy, I don't even know if this is the right place to post this, but screw it, I am really happy.

Thank you for the kind words everyone!
I am getting a B.S. in game design, which should cover all of the math and technical end of video games. I will be learning coding and such, though I plan to get some lessons in 3D animation from some of the students in the B.A. programs and animation programs in order to do that as well. I can't get a B.A. myself because I lack the 2D talents to work with paper and pen, which sucks.

Good stuff man! I thought about going into game design, but I knew it was going to be much more boring than I thought it would be mostly because I dislike programming and am a terrible artist.

I've done work experience with games programmers before (one worked for EA, one other i remember was rockstar).
They said that programming was generally quite a low paid job and doesn't rise much above starting salary. They also said when big projects need to get pushed towards the deadline you are expected to work overtime - unpaid overtime to finish the project. They also said you pretty much don't have a life at these times.
This really deterred me from becoming a programmer.
