They changed that in Missouri. Now they can pull you over for it... but honestly, why wouldn't you take the .5 seconds it requires to put the damned thing on in the first place?

Yeah, my friend and I were just joking that he should put his seatbelt on while being basically passed out in the back seat of my car, lest we get pulled over.

You're stuck out here in Missouri, too? Might I ask what area? I'm in St. Joseph, myself.

Expert testimony has always been admissible in court. Police are required to receive special training in these types of observations (not just any cop can say you were speeding), so there's nothing wrong with this.

Police are also capable of lying or embellishing the truth to get results they desire. At least when technology fucks up it doesn't do it on purpose.

So are lawyers. So are other experts. So is anyone. A liar in court is pretty easy to expose, though, and a cop who does it constantly is gonna get caught eventually.

While some cops are dicks, that's not the norm in my experience. When I beat my ticket, the cop who brought me in actually congratulated me and shook my hand. They don't take it personally or have a stake in it unless you've done something to make it that way.

BTW, if you can find a lawyer who will work a case and come to court for $200, he's probably not a very good one.

well, my buddy who happens to be a pig, i mean cop, got a DUI several months ago.

in the report, the officer stated that my buddy ran up to him and told him he was a cop and shoved his badge in his face several times, when that wasnt the case. but that was all in the report.

all my buddy said was 'hey, im a cop. i have my off duty weapon on me, and my uniform is in the back.' but the arresting officer put all that other BS in the report.

my buddy couldve disputed all that, but ultimately he still wouldve received the DUI.

They're Oklahoan cops and they're not OK.

Pitiful Heartless...
Minlessly collecting Hearts...
The rage of the Keyblade releases those hearts...
They gather in darkness...
Masterless and free...
Until they weave together to make...
Kingdom Hearts!
