Please tell me someone on earth besides me loves this movie. My entire family (and most of my friends) hate it, but it remains one of my personal favorites. I know the ending is a little overly doe-eyed and saccharine, but that's kind of why I like it. There's all this tension and build up and uncertainty, and then it turns out that the aliens really ARE here to benefit us. No matter how many times I see it, it still makes me smile.

Anyone else? Anyone?

What.

They think they're going to remake this movie?

Of all the retarded, unnecessary....ARG!!! All in all, you're just another brick in the wall.

Why wouldn't they remake it? It's almost impossible to name a classic movie that hasn't been remade, rehashed, had a sequel/prequel or a spin off.

I just saw this movie for the first time last week, and while I enjoyed it, it just didn't have the magic that alot of Spielberg's films tend to have. The ending was boring and silly, and it's the kind of movie you don't watch more than once. Also, there's a shitload of Budweiser advertisments in the movie. Still better than most of the shit that comes out of Hollywood these days, though.

Jurassic Park IV is never going to get made. Face it.

I really, really enjoy the movie, but I can't say that I would be a fanboy of this movie.

Hard to explain how I feel about it. But I liked it a lot.

If the remake doesnt have the *BEE BA BOO BA BOO* keyboard thing, I will piss on the theatre screen.

I've never really liked the movie, much to my father's chagrine as it's one of his favorites.

I enjoyed it, of course at the time I was going through a "UFO" phase. I saw it when I was really young and wanted to watch it again, I had forgotten most of it and thought it was quite interesting. I'm not sure I'd watch it again if I still remembered it well but it was enjoyable for sure.
