I've beaten it. The whole damn thing. It took some doing, but I did it. At the final tally, this game has one less Power Star than the first.

They both have 242.

I got the Comet Medal in Grandmaster Galaxy and beat Bowser in his Galaxy Generator. When I promptly started the game again, there was still no comet over that galaxy.

You also need to deposit 9999 star bits with the banker toad.

I already found that out from GameFAQs. I got the star and now I'm really done.

I've been playing quite slowly, only because this game honestly does not hold my attention very well. I can't believe it got such rave reviews since the first is definately better. I'm at the 4th world right now and am just waiting around trying to get the comet for the switch rhythm galaxy, which is ridiculous.

I beat the game a couple days ago, and Dodds your going to hate the Rainbow Road looking special galaxy. I think the Ball rolling in this game was much easier, no stars have really got me stuck as of yet, im sure that will change when I start playing as Luigi and his damn Crisco shoes.

In the first game I actually got used to his shoes by the 60th star or so. When I finished up and went to play a few levels as Mario again, the game felt sluggish for a few stars.

I honestly like Luigi more, especially once you overcome his slippery nature.
His long jump is definitely more epic than Morio's and that can be quite helpful.

So there's seriously a Luigi mode after you get 120 stars even though you can already switch out for Luigi in some stages?

Actually, Luigi becomes readily available after you first beat Bowser in his Galaxy Generator. I don't know if getting every possible Power Star and Comet Medal up to that point is necessary for it, but it does open up World S. Win the aforementioned fight again after getting all the aforementioned items there and you'll unlock the Green Star Challenge.

Bah. This isn't holding my attention as much as the first. You're not alone Dodd... but it doesn't help that I took that hiking trip and am having friends over. I need to regain my reclusive status and stay away from the rest of society so I can complete this game... Except you guys. YOU ALL UNDERSTAND.

Haven't played it in 4 days.
Honestly I watched my friend play Red Dead Redemption, and kind of want to get a PS3 to play that.

So I triggered the "Rosalina help" when I died 3 times somehow. My question is, does this corrupt the game in any way? I know you get the bronze star if you use it, however I didn't use it and was able to get the gold star. The last thing I want is if something happens...say for example when you load your game you get "5 stars" like on NSMB, but if you even allow Rosalina to show up, it won't allow you to get them. Just thought I'd see if anyone knows anything.
