NES (Approx. 1988-1992)
SNES (Approx. 1992-1996)
N64 (1996-2001)
PS2 (2000-Present) - still works perfectly
Dreamcast (2001-Present) - still works perfectly
XBOX (2004-Present) - disc drive is dying/dead
XBOX360 (1) (2006-2010) - RROD just outside of warranty so I still have it
Wii (2008-Present)
NDS Lite (2008-Present)
XBOX360 (2) (2010-Present)

The first 3 Nintendo systems I either sold or gave away because I'm an idiot. I'm quite sure they'd still be working fine today if I still had them. M$ systems on the other hand seem destined to fail.

Atari 2600
NES
PC #1 Intel 33MHz 386 (1991-1996)
Sega Genesis
SNES
PC #2 Intel Pentium 200MHz MMX + Voodoo Banshee Card (1996-1999)
PC #3 Intel Pentium 866MHz III + Diamond Viper V770 nVidia Riva TNT2 AGP - Upgraded to GeForce 4600ti (1999-2002)
PC #4 Intel Pentium 4m 2.4GHz + ATI Mobile Radeon (don't recall the model) (2002-2006)
Game Cube
PC #5 AMD Athlon X64 1800+ 1533 MHz + GeForce 7900GTS (2005-2009)
Wii
PC #6 Intel i7-920 3.4GHz + Radeon HD 5850 (2009-2010)

Note: PC's are the computers that I have bought or built for gaming, I have excluded work machines and non-gaming laptops.

Why am I counting the PC as a console? Because I used these ones as my gaming consoles.

Edit: Years added to PC's per Syd's request. I might be off by one year on some of them, but it is pretty close.

If you're going to list PCs, especially multiple PCs, it would be pertinent to list the years that they were used for optimally used for gaming.

  1. Game Boy (5?)
  2. Game Boy Pocket (6?)
  3. Game Boy Color (9)
  4. PlayStation 2 (14)
  5. Nintendo DS Lite (16)
  6. Wii (18)
  7. PSP (19)
  8. Dreamcast (20)

All of my brothers and sisters owned a Game Boy Advance or SP. I'm the only one who never did, despite being the only one to own all of the Game Boys before it.

Well, my first PC was just some piece of shit Compaq, don't know what the specs were but it used Windows 98. Didn't play many games on it, just You Don't Know Jack, Rollercoaster Tycoon, The Sims, but it was where I first discovered and fell in love with Half-Life, which in turn led to my romance with FPSs (the romance ended with Halo).

Got my second PC just two years later which me and my Dad built and my Mom still has it (parents spitl up)... don't know what the specs for that were either, but I was able to play all Diablo 2, Max Payne 1 & 2, Deus Ex, Sims 2... that's about all I remember. But it was a damn good PC considering I got it 10 years ago have gotten countless viruses from porn sites on it, and it still runs like a song.

My third PC was made by my Dad in 04 after my parents split up. Only games I really played on that were Half-Life 2 and Counter-Strike Source. My Dad only had that for a couple of years then built a new one which he has to this day, have never played a game on it.

Now I have this laptop, have had it since summer of 08. It's pretty slow now since I don't take very good care of it, but it does it's job... barely passable, though. It's a Toshiba Satellite L305, It's specs are:

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo T5750 @ 2.00 GHZ
3 GB of Ram
Graphics Card: Mobile Intel 965 Express

In recent years, I've mostly been concerned with console gaming. The only game I forsee coming out that I'd need a PC for is Diablo III, which I will probably end up playing on my girlfriend's desktop. It's an Asus CM5570... it's system specs are:

Processor: Pentium Dual Core Processor E5300 @ 2.6 GHZ
6 GB of Ram
Graphics Card: Intel G45/G43 Express

NES (1991-2002). I didn't actually own it (I think it was my father's). It already had some problems when we got it, so 11 years later it must have been about to break. Probably.
Gameboy (1995-????) I think I still have it somewhere...
PSX (1997-????) Same.

I forgot when I got the others so I'll just list them.

N64
Another PSX (the small one)
Gamecube
PS2
Gameboy Advance
SNES
Wii

Both of my sisters own a DS so I have some DS games. My youngest sister also bought her own N64 and PS2 for some weird reason.

hmmm...
my brother had an NES growing up, so essentially, it was my NES too.
then i received a SNES for christmas one year and we had that for quite a while.
then my brother traded the SNES for a Genesis to a neighbor w/several games. of course, it was w/out my consent but hes my older brother so he got away with it.
after that i received a N64 for my birthday.
then i bought a PS1 for my sister
then i bought a PS2.
then a gamecube
then an xbox
then a 360
then a wii
finally a PS3.
