I think the dumbest thing I ever played was Capcom VS SNK 2 for the Gamecube. There was a GCN-ISM mode where you could hit any direction on the C-stick to automatically do a move. It took an already boring game and made it mindless. It turned into block damage battles, which is more or less what Rainbow Edition SF turns into.

Actually, it was fun for a little bit, when my friend picked Sagat.

They had that for Smash Attacks on SSB: Melee too. I hated it and I never used them because it felt cheap. They also had that on Marvel vs. Capcom, but at least you could switch those off.

RIP Hacker.

Well for SSMB its ok because they only really damage was when you charged them up. I think its easier just using A and a direction. Thats just me though.

Yeah, if you used the C-Stick, you got the weakest version of the Smash attack. It was handy, I suppose, but you were rewarded if you did it the real way. The problem with the SvC2 mode is that you could use the C-Stick to repeatedly fire projectiles faster than a normal player could.

Meh, I hate Capcom VS. SNK, and pretty much everything that uses the Alpha movesets. I much prefer the Children of the Atom fighting style and its evolutionary path of Marvel Superheroes, X-Men VS. Streetfighter, Marvel VS. Street Fighter, MvC, and MvC2.

oh no doubt, I love the hyper fighting style of games too, but as a kid that grew up on street fighter II, and evolved into KOF, I have to appreciate the more grounded style of combat too. alpha 3 and capsnk2 are two of my favorites.
