Sort of old news, but in April, it was announced that the books are being arranged into a trilogy written by Akiva Goldsman and directed and produced by Ron Howard. Personally, I'm losing my shit. Don't know anything about the two people mentioned above, but.. Come on, it's Stephen King's magnum opus. Thoughts?

Not only that, but Christian Bale is rumored to be playing Roland. He was great as Batman, but I just can't see him as Gunslinger material. God help us all.

From my understanding they are making the movie, which will then be turned into a tv series at least that's what I have heard. Overall I am optimistic but I wouldn't expect any big names (they will have to transition into the tv show). However if i am wrong and they do the Hollywood blockbuster trilogy thing I am pretty amped for it.
