People are in a panic about this "obesity epidemic" and are trying to find scapegoats wherever possible, to frightening extremes. There's a county in California already who has banned Happy Meal toys under the retarded theory that kids only eat McD's for the toys.

It's all just a load of horseshit. If your kid is fat, it's either genetics, or you failed as a parent in controlling and balancing his diet. That's all.

That's not necessarily true. Genetics can play a huge role in why some people are overweight or built a certain way and can never seem to lose that extra weight, no matter what they do. Granted, I'm sure sloth and bad, unbalanced diets are the cause of most fatties, but unfortunately there are a number of people who are fat because they're just built that way and it's very hard to change one's biology.

It's just like how I am perpetually 160 lbs no matter what I eat, or how much/how little exercise I do. I've been 160 lbs with an athletic build since I was 18, and here I am at 30 with the exact same weight and build and God knows I've been pretty sedentary the last 5 years, so it stands to reason I'd gain at least 10 lbs and sport the typical spare tire, right? Nope. So if people can be unalteringly thin because of genetics, people can be fat too.

Also, I don't think it's fat people complaining and trying to retire Ronald McDonald. It's the hippy politicians trying to make names for themselves and see the media frenzy that surrounds obesity as their chance and they're just using fat people to advance their careers. I just wish someone had the balls to stand up, and tell them to shut the fuck up.

That's totally true actually. My stepsons bring home all kinds of dogma from school about the environment and how we "shouldn't eat that because it's unhealthy". It's kind of disturbing they are learning this stuff instead of basic science like the solar system.
