Agreed. I really liked playing Wind Waker, but the last bit of the game where you sail all over the god damn place really killed it for me, I still haven't beat it.

| 1. At least give us the OPTION to play without motion controls. Especially now with the Classic Controller Pro, there is no reason in this day and age that we shouldn't at least have the choice. |
Not gonna happen.
When Twilight Princess debuted on Wii in 2006, it was also released as a swansong for the Gamecube, obviously without motion controls. The reason for this is that TP was a GC title to begin with that was ported over to the Wii at some point during it's development. That is one of the reasons TP is so average, the controls are by no means "awful" but they leave much to be desired.
With this new title, we are now going on 4 years into the Wii's lifespan and this is going to be a ground-up effort taking advantage of everything the system has. This includes maximizing motion control and implementing Motion Plus as accurately and naturally as possible.
Granted other Wii titles offer standard control options like Brawl or Mario Kart, but this is different. Sorry, your just gonna have to live with moving your arm around a little more.

I wasn't saying I didn't enjoy it, just in comparison to other Zelda titles I felt it to be average.
I am super stoked about the new Zelda.

To be honest I never found myself to be a major fan. I've played Lttp and all of the handheld games save for the Minish Cap but Zelda normally doesn't click with me. That being said when I'm in the mood I can really enjoy the series.

I hope one of their plans for dealing with the repetitive nature of the past games involves letting players seek out the dungeons themselves and openly explore the world at the start instead of using a forced narrative to make us go in the order they want. Being able to waltz right into the higher level areas at the beginning and see how long you can survive is one of the reasons the original is still so damn fun.
I also hope their plan for making it easier doesn't involve loading Link up with even more stupid sidekicks that live to interrupt the game to tell you to look for a switch or grab those Rupees. Oh, yeah, an actual use for Rupees would be awesome this time around.
To be honest, I'd rather see a new Star Fox, Startropics or just something new but I wouldn't mind another Majora's Mask style installment, the time travel gimmick was neat.

Hey I remember that thing. Ocarina of Time right? Or did I see it on Oracle of Seasons? I remember witches but it's been ages.

Yeah...that would be an awesome idea. I really did enjoy beating the original Zelda out of order (in fact I don't ever recall beating the dungeons in order). I even made it through dungeon 6 first one time, although I died about 40 times before I did. That would be a great idea...I would love to see that back. Honestly, you could technically do the same in Majora's Mask although you would be forced to sometimes play part of the temples.
I don't know if a new Star Tropics would work, but I would be interested to see it. This is coming from someone who didn't think Punch Out Wii would work, despite it being my second or third favorite game on Wii now.
Yeah, the two witches form together after you beat them both. Actually one of the few bosses in OOT that I really liked.

I just hope it doesn't follow the formula of "We gotta go collect these 3 _______ from these 3 dungeons and the world is saved. Now we got the 3 _______ but something went wrong, now let's go collect these 8 other things instead, that should do the trick!"

When I first heard of it I thought that it only drained rupees when you sustained damage but when I actually got it I was surprised to see how quickly it actually ran through my rupees. It is pretty though.

Yeah it would be nice if it would've only been used to drain rupees when you got hit. Nonetheless, I didn't even need the fucking thing in the Cave of Ordeals.

This is my most anticipated title this year. Really looking forward to what they can do with the WM+ and the fact that they have been talking about "altering the flow of the game". Zelda is of course one of the greatest series out there, but in my opinion, it lacks a few things still like a living, breathing world, lots of sidequests, characters with side-stories, and simply more to do between the dungeons. It could also benefit from a slightly altered narrative, but that could go both ways. When is E3? June 15? Will it look anything like this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zwMdcESljqg&feature=related

In Majora's Mask, you need the arrows (swamp temple) to access snowpeak.
You need Epona to access the ocean. To do this, you need to get to Lon Lon Ranch by using the Powder Keg, which can only be obtained by beating Snowpeak Temple. Alternatively, you can wait till the 3rd day when the guy finally breaks the huge boulder blocking the ranch. I'm not sure if you can get Epona this way or not.
To get to the Stone Tower, you need Epona and the Hookshot. You are supposed to need the ice arrows as well, to freeze the Octorok in the river so that you can cross, but you can use the hookshot from the riverbank just fine, if you know where to stand.
So, I know you can access level "4" before level "3", but AFAIK you need to do the swamp temple and snowpeak first.

If you like playing around with glitches, you can do the temples out of order. You can reach SnowPeak without arrows by bombing yourself through the ice, for example.

i can't wait. Zelda is like the LOTR of video games. nothing is better. some things are more popular (because of multiplayer only) but nothing stands up as ART like zelda. And as for 2011 release date, add 4 to it. Thats the rule I've learned with zelda games.
