So, umm, what's the deal with Netflix on the Wii? Has anyone tried it yet? I read that you need a special disc. Will the videos be crappy quality like the game previews on the Nintendo Channel?

It works pretty well, surprisingly. Video quality is really good but you don't get HD like on the 360. Sucks having to put the disc in though.

u need a disc. netflix will send it to you for free, and from what other forumers have posted, netflix is easier to use on the wii vs the ps3/360

It works very well, I use it on PS3 and on the Wii. As stated, you can't stream HD but the video quality is still pretty good.
Naturally the Wiimote style of interface is more preferable when using something like Netflix.
People are used to using a remote when watching TV/movies.

How is it on PS3? Same as on 360? I keep reading that it's pretty lame on the PS3 but I dunno.

Tell me if this is correct. You put in one (1) disc into the wii, this will allow you to integrate the netflix catalog with the OS of the wii, and you can receive the movies via internet and not by getting an individual disc for each movie. Is that correct? Because I am confused about this thing.

Yeah, it's like streaming a movie off the site but on your game console.

It's not the entire Netflix catalog, only the streaming titles, which are largely crap movies. There are a good selection of TV shows, but I would say at least 85% of the movie choices are obscure or just plain bad films. There are LOTS of indie, b-movies, straight to dvd, etc. and it's fairly annoying having to sift through them to find the good stuff.

It's gotten a LOT better. I would say more then half of the library is now pretty good stuff. Hey, they just put 12 seasons on King of the Hill up. It did used to be horrible but it's definitely improved. HD is nice too but it's still missing 5.1.

They don't explode, but they get pretty water damaged. Ask any of our recent customers in Tennessee

Probably because people who can get their hands on the right types of fertilizer don't really think they can make a political statement by taking out a DVD kiosk.
