Really? Cuz I get my ass kicked by Seth on a regular based on even moderate difficulties. Not everyone is good as you at fighting games and you shouldn't expect fighting games, especially one as commercial as Street Fighter, to cater directly to the best players. You want something that does that, go play some random otaku crap.

I agree with V.B.D., especially if the game has a huge roster to go through. What he described for SFIV is exactly what I did to get the characters and it wasn't fun at all and SSBB's Subspace Emmisary mode bored me to tears.

Subspace Emmisary is completely different. You only have to beat that once, not with every character. And there were alternate ways to unlock the characters.

I played Melty Blood for a time. What was I thinking?

As a child, I was convinced that Johnny Bravo was based on Guile. Now that I'm wiser and reconsider, that just seems too fucking awesome not to be true.

Ha, they should give Guile Johnny Bravo's personality.

Only if you're not playing on a keyboard.

I'vr only played melty blood chars that were converted to mugen. I'd really like to try the actual game.

also, seth is a punck. you just stay full screen, jump over his sonic booms, ad jump kick him. when you get an ultra or super, use it.

that's it.

It's long, tedious and has a ton of stages to play through. It's longer than playing through every character's story in SFIV and the alternate ways to unlock characters was even more tedious. Well, at least in my eyes.

So like, yeah and stuff.

Sometimes he kicks my ass, but I've gotten much better at beating him. It helps that the multi hit kick thing, the uppercut, and the teleport leave him nice and open if blocked/predicted, he'll try a wall jump that eats any proper anti air I have, and the sonic boom is an invitation to a well timed jump kick. Last night I beat him with El Fuerte having only lost 1/8th of my life on the second round.

He's certainly no Gill, who has huge priority, a fatal angel rainbow super, and the power to come back with full health if you can't get him to use his super.

Also, I like playing El Fuerte now. Tostada Press!

el fuerte is really fun, but I fall into the loop of randomly throwing his moves out in some sort of attempt at being unpredictable instead of actually planning my strikes.

The easy way to beat Seth in round 2 is to stay just within sweeping distance (but not too close or you'll get thrown) and turtle. The AI has no real answer to this. He'll never throw booms or use Dhalsim punches at this range to keep you out. If you're unlucky, you'll get command thrown, but most of the time on he's going to stupidly do machine gun kick, uppercut, or that move where he sucks you in, all of which are punishable. Just be patient, wait for him to whiff and take your free sweep, combo, super, ultra whatever you want to do, rinse and repeat. Don't try any pokes at this range, only counter his attacks. Never jump in on him unless he's throwing booms cause you'll eat a SRK every time. If he teleports away just work your way back into sweeping distance. This strategy will work with any character.

Yeah but it's too much work. You can literally stay far enough away for him to throw booms. Then jump over them and hit him with a roundhouse, then sweep him. Over and over. Even on the hardest difficulty.

El Fuerte has some good priority on some of his moves. My brother is way better at Street Fighter than me, but I beat him handily a couple of times with El Fuerte before he figured him out. Then he figured him out and now I'm back to losing almost all the time.

I had a great idea. Maybe Q is Seth in the future. Maybe his body began to fail and he has to wear the mask to keep him alive. Also, there's more than one Seth and there may be more than one Q.

I don't know, the idea just came to me so I felt like saying it.

Maybe Q is an underpowered Bison clone. It would explain why he wears a mask and why he's being monitored by the CIA.

That doesn't make any sense because Bison only makes female clones. Which is sketchy.

He spends an inordinate amount of time monitering fighters, and only appears with ten fights ending in 2-0, so its really easy to fit him in as a "Fighter Harvester".

Mechanically, Q is a perfect match for the more focus attack hyper armor style of gameplay, moreso than IIIrd strike, where sluggish characters with single attacks were doomed to bottom tier by gameplay mechanic alone.

I always thought Q was Balrog after getting a brain transfer to a robot. He's not fooling me with those charge rush punches.

Bison's body has been rebuilt (i.e. CLONED) twice in canon. Once between Alpha and II, once between II and IV.
