I have Verizon and I've decided to get a new smart phone rather than wait for the 4g phones that'll probably come out next year. Does anyone have the Droid Incredible? I'm leaving towards that, but I'm wondering what people here use and like.

funny you should ask, my buddy asked me the exact same thing yesterday. he wanted comparisons between the motorola droid vs the droid incredible:

and also about verizon iphone. there is nothing concrete yet about the iphone for verizon, but a WSJ report says it might be out as early as september of this year, but others indicate it wont be out til end of 2011.
i personally use a blackberry tour from sprint. it works well for what i use it for (texting, calling, facebook, and porn) but i dont like the trackball. i've gotten used to it, but i dont care for it, and the tiny keys on the qwerty keyboard are still annoying to me.

Droid Incredible is the best smart phone available to Verizon hands down... I have friends in the "know" and they say nothing better is coming out for a looong time.
Also, the Motorolla Droid is good too, I just hate it's clunky aesthetic and it IS a Motoroalla, so it's eventually going to break. They all do. I have a Blackberry StormII through Verizon right now and it is fine as it does everything I need, but I just became eligible for my annual upgrade, so the HTC Incredible is definitely what I'm going with.

Thanks guys. The Incredible looks awesome. I'm just curious about the battery life. The reports I've read leads me to believe that I won't get a full day of use on one charge. I have a Samsung Omnia and that phone sucks for battery life.

The lack of a physical keyboard would be a dealbreaker for me. I can't get behind the whole touch keyboard thing, they frustrate the hell out of me. It does seem impressive other than that.

I used to feel the same, but I've gotten so used to it with my Blackberry, that a physical keypad has gotten harder for me to use. The keys are usually too tiny.

honestly I used to HATE the on screen QWERTY, but since coming into possession of an ipod touch, I've gotten so used to it that it's like second nature.

The keyboard is also a concern. Omnia's keyboard sucks. Pretty much everything that's WinMo sucks. I've been looking at the swipe app for the touch keyboard and it looks pretty cool.

i personally hate both touch screen and the tiny qwerty keyboard. but given a choice i would probably choose the touch screen.
