Oh man... That'd be one awesome display to own. I wonder how the seller came across one in mint condition. Found one in an old warehouse somewhere, maybe?

Three things:
1) I definitely had some of these as kid, I vividly recall the Koopa Troopa figure. I think there may have even been a thread in "Toys" discussing them.
2) I was impressed with that seller's McDonald's collection in general, he is selling 3 different Ronald statues, 2 Hamburgler statues and one Grimace statue, impressive.
3) I realize that Mario is supposed to be a bit heavy-set, however he looks like he really let himself go as he is represented in that toy.

I remember getting Sonic toys from happy meals, I'd pay 500 for a display akin to that Mario one.

I had the Donkey Kong tree climber puzzle. It was pretty cool. I also got one of those "N64" winners but instead of winning an N64, I won a taco. I was pissed.
Outside of McDonalds, I don't see any places who have the toy displays anymore and a lot of times I don't see any toy commercials. Man, that must suck. The only place I ate as a kid that never gave me a toy with my meal was A&W, and I never went back there as a kid again!

That is an awesome display and must be pretty damn rare. $300 for it doesn't seem that unreasonable either considering how few probably exist at all.
Obviously this guy was the owner of a franchise McD's or something and just took home all the promotional stuff that passed through his restaurant.

Tried to offer up $100 and got shot down quick. Might muster up the courage to move to 175 tonight.

Oh, I was going to just use this as leverage to get Syd to vote for Obama in 2012.

I found one of those Mario toys at a garage sale when I was young and got it, I only ever saw the one so I never really knew where exactly it came from, now I do.
