This could mean songs that are just made to be driven by or in my case, songs that make you speed up because they make you feel like a bad ass. Wink

Ill start off with Panama by Van Halen, probably because of Superbad..

Unless it's something really slow and doomy like Obituary. Cool

Personally, I'm all about Meat Loaf's "Bat Out of Hell" and any Kyuss album, especially if I'm driving along and it's sweltering outside. Plus, even if I don't like them that much, the outro to Guns 'N' Roses "Paradise City" is one of the best driving songs of all time.

Books on tape are the best, I listen to music when I'm online, but man do I go through my music far too much when I'm driving.

Two more good ones:
Editors - "Distance" (good for driving at night or through lifeless back roads)

Yeah Yeah Yeahs - "Kiss Kiss" (also good for driving at night)

Agreed with this! As well as the Blueman Group, though I go with Dave Mathew's Band and the Current.

Another song I'd listen to in the car is One Winged Angel, the orchestral one.

I like listening to a lot of ELO while I drive, it always relaxes me. As for just general cruising music I like a lot of Queen, especially A Night at the Opera. Though I have been guilty of singing Bohemian Rhapsody in unison with friends.

When it's late, and I'm tired, I throw on "No Surprises" by Radiohead. When it's a nice, sunny day, I'll usually fire up "Cindy's on Metadone" by Screeching Weasel "Walking Contradiction" by Green Day. When I'm a bit hyper, it's either "Back at the Funny Farm" by Motorhead or "My Right" by Screeching Weasel (seriously Ben Weasel is a goddamned pop genius).

So here's to you Mrs. Robinson. People love you more- oh, nevermind.

I don't really like the Crue, but I agree with this wholeheartedly. In fact, pretty much the only time I listen to Motley Crue is when driving and it comes on the radio.
