syd, have you actualyl palyed megman powered up?

you can make your own levels.

making your own megaman levels. how can yo utop that?

Visine lets you make your own levels for Mega Man or Mega Man 2. And it's been around for like 8 years.

Someone with a lot of patience and nothing better to do should try to hack those SMB Special level designs into SMB NES/Famicom proper. It'd be nice to play those alternate takes on SMB stages without tormenting at least two of my five senses.

alright, but there's more to the game than jsut makign your own levels. it's still a fun game. have you actually palyed it?

Actually, the SMBS levels really don't look all that similar to the classic SMB levels. If you watch videos of a few of the later levels (turning off the sound will help you survive that), you'll see level designs that are in some respects a lot more creative than those in the original SMB on the NES. Like I said, it would be interesting to play them without the broken graphics, sound, play control, and game physics.
