It's not exactly new at this point, but I'd say Katamari Damacy is definitely innovative. It's a fresh take on analog controls and a fun concept for a game. Pretty much just good to pick up and play any old time, with something fun to offer, be it good tunes or lovably blocky cartoonish graphics.

I can't say there's a whole lot of innovation in the PC market these days...I'm still playing old roms and abandonware mostly.
