So I'm thinking about getting a copy of Stadium Events...

I was looking on Ebay, and I found multiple copies of my game. The problem is, there seems to be too many games on there. What are the chances of me getting one and it being a fake or a PAL version? Is there any way to tell from the pictures. Also, while I heard stories about the game going for thousands of dollars, I see a few copies on there for "Buy It Now" for under $1000 or so, so it really makes me curious what I would be getting. Anyone have any insight as to what I should be looking for if I decide to buy a copy of this in the future?

I would say don't waste money on a sub par game that has ballooned in price unless you have some sort of nostalgic connection to it. But if you must...

Here is a complete guide to recognizing the real deal and the pal or bootlegs. Hope it helps.

Thanks Ash

The only reason I thought about getting it, is because I'm a bit of an NES collector, yet I don't have any real stand out titles that are rare or anything. I'll end up getting games like Elite, Bubble Bobble 2, Duck Tales 2 and Snow Brothers, but even those aren't THAT sought after. I have about 200 NES games at this time and the thought has crossed my mind to pick this up as it's usually considered the rarest licensed title for the NES.

I've been crafting my list for a few years just focusing on the good games but might eventually try for every title, but not any time soon.

Good thing I didn't, because I came across a perfect copy of Aero Fighters recently, which is one of the rarest SNES games I've ever come across.

Isn't world class track meet the same game with just a different title?

They may not be THAT sought after, but they are solid games to actually play, and that is the only reason to own them in my book. Glad to see you passed up on that crapfest and actually went with a solid choice in Aero fighters. Nice pick up!

Bubble Bobble 2, I never liked. The palette was kind of hideous. I wish it had been a SNES game instead.

Is this game rare? When I was in the 8th grade, I bought my copy at Rose's for $3. I know its not very well known, but it never occurred to me that it might be at all sought after.
