That was the first and last time I'll eat that. I didn't eat anything else the rest of the day when I did that. This was back in January.

Ok I ate this thing today and literally upon finishing the last bite, I almost puked it all right back. This sandwich is surely what will cause God's wrath to wipe us from the Earth, man was proud fool to play god with the fundamentals of sandwiches!

The chicken was too over powering, I couldn't taste the bacon and I could barely taste the cheese.

I had it today. I thought it was pretty good. I was still hungry when I was done. Could have ate two.
Looking at it, eating it, etc, I never thought it was that bad. The only reason I even knew it was that bad for me (aside from the fact it was fast food) was that you guys posted the calories and sodium. But for me, it was kind of like having two chicken sandwiches with cheese and bacon, but no bread. Since I've been known to get a Big Mac meal, large sized, and two McChickens, it didn't seem like a big deal to me. But then again, I may not make it to 35 either. i guess I just don't think of it much.

Most likely because the chicken is so much bigger than the bacon that it'll most likely overwhelm the bacon to the point where you can't even taste it.
Also, maybe I'm wrong here, but I've never had a good experience that involved both chicken and cheese. I love chicken and I love cheese, and they're both extremely versatile foods, but for some reason they don't taste particularly good together.
Am I the only one who thinks the hot chicken would burn your fingers? I thought that was kind of the whole purpose of buns.

Haha, yes! Someone I know was just talking about these things. I think its actually pretty hilarious that they would just go ahead and make the American dream sandwich: Fried chicken and bacon. I think this falls into the category of things you dare your friends to eat.

Chicken Parmesan and Chicken Ranch Pizzas/Calzones. If you haven't tried one then you can not judge the combination of chicken and cheese. It is heaven.

Chicken, good. Cheese, good. Bacon, good. Chicken with bacon and cheese...good.
And while the Double Down was...gooood, I still prefer the Mashed Potato Bowl.
Chicken, good. Potatoes, good. Gravy, good. Corn, good. Cheese, good. Mashed potatoes and gravy with corn, chicken and cheese...goooood.

You know what's better than a Double Down? A grilled salmon double chicken bake sandwich.

At least the mashed potato bowl can fill me up. I was still hungry after my double down but I decided against eating another.

Sure...but chicken filets wrapped around a piece of fish? That's a fake sandwich, right?

I didn't know how big it would be or I would have had my wife bring me the bowl too. I was still hungry too.

You know what, I thought you were defending that abomination of a sandwich...and then I reread Blackout's post further up the page. I'm ultra-slow tonight.

THe double down is friggen terrible. I ate one and I nearly got sick... this coming from a guy who can demolish twenty taco bell taco's in mere minutes. It was like a waste of money AND Bacon...

Photoshop?! I find your lack of faith disturbing. Here's a picture of me holding one, so put that in your pipe and smoke it!

I'll stick with my wife's Chicken Bacon Creamcheese. It's exactly as it sounds. Chicken breasts stuff with cream cheese, then wrapped up in bacon and cooked.
Heavenly.
