KFC is set to unveil a new sandwich Monday, the KFC Double Down. It is essentially a sandwich that eliminates the bun, replacing the bread with two chicken fillets. Included in between the chicken is two slices of bacon, two slices of Monterey Jack and Pepperjack cheese and a zesty sauce.
It's about 540 calories which may seem like a fuckload, but not really considering a Big Mac has 580. The only downside I see really is that it has 1,380 milligrams of sodium, which IS a lot. The American Heart Association recommends that adults eat less than 1,500 milligrams of sodium per day.
Does the sandwich look delicious? Absolutely! Does it look like the perfect hangover cure? Hell yes! Will I ever eat it? Fuck no! Just go look at that thing, sweet Jesus, it gives me chest pains just gazing at it.

540 calories is not that much at all. When I was lifting weights, I was eating around 4000 calories a day but anyways the sodium amount is ridiculous and it hurts my chest/stomach looking at it too.

I will probably try one if I ever find myself near a KFC. One day of excessive sodium intake isn't going to kill me.

That reminds me, you know an awesome sandwich to make? A peanut butter sandwich, with turkey instead of bread.

I saw this the other day and I think it looks yummy. Luckily I have a pretty awesome metabolism so it won't affect me around the waistline like normal people, but all that salt is scary and basically means if you eat one of these, you should eat healthier than usual for the rest of the day. I also read somewhere than an independant study found it actually has a lot more than 540 calories; more around the ballpark of 1,000 calories.
People say that's a lot, but like I told my wife, you can have a light breakfast like toast or something, one of these bad boys for lunch, then a big salad for dinner and you'll still come in under your recommended daily caloric, sodium, and fat intake. It's all about balance.

Why does chicken, bacon and cheese not sound like a good combo to me?
