Cocaine first rose to popularity in the 1860s.
Cocaine sales and usage were legal in the United States until 1914.
The original Coca-Cola formula contained roughly 9 milligrams of cocaine per glass. It was removed in 1903.
Cocaine was not classified as acontrolled substance into the United States until 1970.
Prior to 1970, cocaine's status as an illegal drug was not widely enforced.

By "natural" people are saying it is not tampered with the way tobacco is. Tobacco companies engineer their products to be heavily addictive, so they can keep their customers. You can grow pot in your back yard, and then smoke it, seems natural to me. I'm not a pot head, but to me it has never seemed as evil as cigarettes, but maybe that's because capitalism hasn't gotten a hold of it yet.

I had friends that used to do a lot of cocaine. They'd all team up and combine their paychecks, get as much as they could, and spend the next few days doing lines playing endless games of cards, and drinking all my motherfucking beer. You know how much beer someone high on coke can drink? ALL OF IT! When they ran out, they'd lay around with the lights off under blankets in my living room coming down for a few days. Then they'd start pawning their TVs and game consoles (and bits and pieces of my massive movie collection if I wasn't home) to get more. Rinse and repeat until we're no longer friends.
fast forward to the present, and most of them have calmed their shit down, mostly due to the influence of good woman. But we're still not very close.

I could probably get weed easier if I got the contact info of a guy my friends grab off of but I just want weed and he's mainly a coke dealer, don't really want to know where to get it and I don't really want to deal with coke dealers regardless of how "nice" of a guy they are. That's something I wanna stay far the hell away from.

Users who say pot's okay because it's natural, and then condemn other drugs for being chemical bother me. I understand the argument Ash stated, but don't fucking tell me acid is so much worse than shrooms or whatever purely because it's chemical. There's a lot of shit grows in nature that will kill you, and a lot of medicine that's manmade and will save your life. How organic the substance is seems totally irrelevant to me.
Also, I'm not sure how much legality has to do with popularity. If you want to get a hold of it, you can get some smack or speed or whatever you're after. It's that simple. A lot of people realize drinking's bad for you and don't drink, or at least learn to keep it controlled. I've met a lot of people who shoot up every weekend, and can keep it at that just fine. Mind you, I've also seen more than enough people who've had their lives destroyed by that shit, but I've seen a lot of complete alcoholics, too.

Agreed. The problem with this is, that even if something is "natural", that has nothing to do with the stuffs health effects. (Why don't we all have some cyanide - it's completely natural, and therefore must be good for you. )
