The final Boss from Bioshock wasn't that bad ass of a fight. He'd just tire himself out, then charge up in the chair. And El Gigante from RE4, was pathetically easy, especially if you save the Wolf-Dog from the trap prior to the fight. Lastly, the fight between Zack and Sephiroth? No, it was just "Push Sephiroth to the edge of the pipe to knock him off" no real battle just keep hitting him.

Great Mighty Poo was awesome, but why the remake? Everyone likes the original with no censor better.

Yeah it's moronic how Conker: Live & Reloaded was originally Conker: Live and Uncut which was completely uncensored.

Quote:
Censorship

The game was originally titled Conker: Live and Uncut and featured a completely uncensored single player experience. At some point during the development of the game, this was changed and the game was released with heavy censorship.[19] Even minor obscenities which were present in the original N64 version were censored. This drew heavy criticism from fans of the original, especially as it detracted from comedic highlights such as the song in the Sloprano chapter. This song was also censored on the soundtrack, but Rare has the uncensored Xbox version of the song on their website.[20]

Like the original, the game was rated M by the ESRB and carried warnings about its content as well as Rare's promotional spoof warnings that advertised the fact that the content of the game was explicitly 'adult'. The audio files on the game disc are censored to begin with and contain the bleeps, indicating that they are not censored by the game engine.

Yet there is a in game option to make the multiplayer uncensored. Rolling Eyes

I vote for Giant Bowser from Yoshi's Island =)

That battle got so many things right! The awesome music, the perspective and the... urgency... of avoiding him trampling you. Pretty neat.

It's too late now because you haven't been PAYING ATTENTION.

Plus the music kicked serious ass, I remember seeing Bowser's eyes light up in the background, and I nearly shit my pants.

Totally, MS really knows how to fuck up a game. Sadly after that was when Rare pretty much went downhill.

This reminded me of that scene in Lord of the rings where Legolas brings down that humongous elephant creature thing.

Fire Boss from Axelay
Kefka from Final Fantasy 6
Sapientia from Bayonetta
Mecha Sonic/Robotnick from Sonic the Hedgehog 2

Final Boss from Bioshock
Great Mighty Poo from Conker Live & Reloaded
Dracula from Super Castlevania 4
Helicopter Boss from Uncharted 2
Inside Ship Boss from Gunstar Heroes
El Gigante from Resident Evil 4
Shiva from Streets of Rage 2

This is a terrible list.

Baal? Seriously? As awesome as Diable 2 is, there's nothing epic, exciting, or intense about any of the boss fights in it. It's all: Hack! Slash! Heal! or Cast! Cast! Heal!

i agree. the first list was better

the second list seems to composed of requests and suggestions from the comments section of the first list

I watched a little bit of God of War 3 on Youtube...I think the Hades battle was better than the Poseidon battle. The Hades battle reminded me of a Mega Man boss, which actually got me thinking:

Which is harder, a 3D battle like God of War or a 2D battle like Mega Man? It almost seems like there is too much space to dodge attacks in the 3D!

^ Only if the 3D bosses attacked in the same way as the 2D!! Then all you'd have to do is step out of the way and punch it in the side of the head!!

3D boss battles, especially first person ones, are annoying because you usually can't see the entire playfield.

If the fight was more cinematic then just a pair of Jedi slashing the crap out of each other I'd nominate KotOR, although the background behind the fight is fantastic and you really get into it when the two characters start taunting each other. Thank god they added Kefka and all it's Dante-ish antics.

This sounds kind of cheesy but I always thought the battle with Atman on the original Shadow Hearts was pretty epic but eh...that's just me.

Seth? If you're going to put an SNK boss on the list, use a boss that's actually from an SNK game and is actually hard like Omega Rugal or Igniz. I agree that the Liquid Ocelot battle was stupid, I watched that crap on youtube and went "kinda repetitive, hope it ends soon....".

I think the last guy in Hulk on SNES/Genesis deserves a mention, all you need to do is punch him off the ledge. The only possible way to lose is if you fell off the ledge yourself by accident.

Zeromus in FFII US/FFIV JAP without Ragnarok/Crystal Sword is insane. Even with it, he'd hard as nards to beat.
