This is the first of a series of threads I plan on devoting to various cartoons that I loved as a child.

Did anyone else watch Gummi Bears? I don't remember a lot about it, except that I loved the characters (especially the one who had the same voice as Garfield).

I also watched this show as a child. I had a high school math teacher that looked like the big blue gummi bear.

Hahahaha... I love people who look like things. Valdro, I forget who it is, but there's a Canadian newscaster that looks like Kermit the Frog.

"Okey dokey dookie"
"DON'T call me DOOKIE!!!!!!!"

Later on in the series you had the great Rob Paulsen doing the voice of the artist gummy bear with the talking bird. I think his name was Gusto.

Yeah, I don't remember much aside from the magic bouncing potion. Didn't they like live underground and come out of a tree stump or something too?

I have an a cappella version of the theme song. I think it's done by either Rockapella or Da Vinci's Notebook. I loved the show, though unfortunately I remember very little specifics.

Dashing and daring,
Courageous and caring,
Faithful and friendly,
With stories to share.
All through the forest,
They sing out in chorus,
Marching along,
As their song fills the air.

Gummi Bears!!
Bouncing here and there and everywhere.
High adventure that's beyond compare.
They are the Gummi Bears.

Magic and mystery,
Are part of their history,
Along with the secret,
Of gummiberry juice.
Their legend is growing,
They take pride in knowing,
They'll fight for what's right,
In whatever they do.

Gummi Bears!!
Bouncing here and there and everywhere.
High adventure that's beyond compare.
They are the Gummi Bears.
They are the Gummi Bears!!
