I fucking love hotsauce, but I don't think I've ever tasted anything close to the Ghost Chili pepper, which is supposed to be thousands of times hotter than a Jalapeno pepper.
India is planning to use the chili to make tear-gas like crowd control weapons.

Maybe so, but if they're using it against terrorists, who really cares how painful it is?

I still think the Flatulence Airborne Reaction Team theory is a viable one.

The Ghost Chili is indeed a fierce beast. It measures well over 1,000,000 on the Scoville Scale (the number is an indication of how many spritzes of a simple syrup upon the tongue it took to "kill the burn") and any ep of Man vs. Food involving it has always resulted in failure.

good question. especially since food is supposed to be enjoyable, at that point in time it stops being enjoyable.

Yeah, my first thoughts were along these lines. What's wrong with old fashioned teargas? If you throw that shit into a cave, the dudes won't stick around. I've experienced the effect (during an exercise in Finnish defence forces), and anything beyond that is completely unnescessary, if you just need control. Maybe this has something to do with manufacturing costs etc.

The usual strength of pepper spray (about 2 million scoville units) is actually twice as strong as a raw ghost chile. The only benefit to using a ghost chile to make a pepper spray type weapon is that it would take less of them to make it. You could really use any type of hot pepper to make an ultra powerful pepper spray if you concentrated enough capsaicin from them.
Hell, it is possible to buy pure capsaicin crystals if you are inclined. I actually have a vial of some here. Blair's released limited edition batches of it a couple of years ago.

Every tangible thing is food, it's just not a wise idea going around trying to everything.

Well it probably hurts less than having a bomb strapped to your chest go off. Or maybe not, but still.

So there is a new pizza/wing place in town called Northside. I was told their Double Black Diamond wings use Ghost Chilis in the sauce. I was talking to somebody at work and he said that he was talking to one of the cooks at this place and that the Double Blacks are just too hot. Apparently this cook had to eat some of these wings for an initiation.
I was up for a challenge and decided to go and try these wings. I ordered them to go and got ten of them. I was walking home with the wings and tried one. It wasn't too hot at first but it eventually caught up with me. I was literally sweating and my eyes were watering from these wings. I gave a couple to friends of mine and warned them about how hot they were.
I got these a little after 3PM today and I just now at 5:18PM finished them. I was sweating, shaking and my eyes were watering as I had the last few wings. That ghost chili wing sauce is just hot as fuck!

I don't think I'll have those again. They were kind of painful to eat.

Just remember, if you use a cloth to wipe your hands, make sure it never touches your face/eyes.

Washing your hands with water won't help either. Strong alcohol or milk will do the trick. They're also helpful while eating extremely hot foods.
