10 for '10 Sale and Metal Gear PSP Bundle Now on PSN
For the next week, get Critter Crunch for $3.49 and Braid for $7.49.

This week's PlayStation Store update isn't the largest in terms of new content, but it does have a pretty decent sale on 10 games -- including Critter Crunch for just $3.49. Why Sony didn't hold this 10 for '10 sale sooner (celebrating the new year and giving new PS3 and PSP owners an opportunity to pick up some games at a discount) is unclear, but what matters is that there are some solid 50% off deals for the next week on 10 games, including the aforementioned Critter Crunch. Other highlights include Braid for $7.49, Crystal Defenders PSP for $4.99, and Gravity Crash for $4.99.
New on the PS3 side is Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgment ($14.99) and PS1 Classic Championship Bass ($5.99, also available on PSP). You can also find the new free SingStar Viewer that allows you to check out SingStar content directly from the XMB and a downloadable Stone Cold Steve Austin add-on ($0.99) for Smackdown vs. Raw 2010.

PSP has two new downloadable games, DJ Max Fever ($19.99) and Valhalla Knights 2: Battle Stance ($29.99), as well as a Metal Gear Solid PSP bundle ($29.99) that includes Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops Plus, and Metal Gear Solid Digital Graphic Novel. New comics for the digital reader include the 2004 run of X-Men #157-168 ($1.99 each) and Wallace & Gromit #6 ($0.99).

Three Command & Conquer Games Available for Free

There have been plenty of opportunities to experience classic Command & Conquer before now. But if you've somehow managed to miss out until now, here's your chance to make amends.
Head to this site and you will be able to download three classic C&C games for free. They include Command & Conquer, the sequel Tiberian Sun (with its expansion Firestorm) and the quirky spinoff Red Alert.

They're being put online to promote the impending release of Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight, which is due next month. Its being billed as the finale to the Tiberium Wars, which have their origin in the first Command & Conquer.

Tiberian Twilight will be out March 16. You can download the classic games now.

bump again:
Half-Price Sales on Capcom PSN Games Begin Today

Capcom announced yesterday that Marvel vs. Capcom 2 would be on sale for half price beginning today on the PlayStation Store. And in addition to that, they've now announced that each week for the next five weeks, Capcom will be slashing the price on one of their PlayStation Network games by 50%. For the next week, you'll be able to pick up MvC2 for the price of $7.49 instead of the $14.99 it usually goes for. Then beginning on February 25, the discounted game will be Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix ($7.49); on March 4, Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix ($4.99); on March 11, Age of Booty ($4.99); and on March 18, 1942: Joint Strike ($4.99).
There's a demo of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 available on the PlayStation Store right now if you want to give the game a try before buying. But be warned, it doesn't allow you to play against the computer or online, so you'll need two controllers (and ideally a second person) in order to play.

I went on newegg this morning to order another year of LIVE for $35 and noticed they have a video game "blowout" sale. Now most of these games either suck or were commercial failures, but some may be worth a shot at these prices. They all have free shipping too. At worst you might find a cheap gift to give an annoying relative. "Highlights" include:

-Bionic Commando (360 or PS3) for 8.99
-Castlevania Judgement (Wii) for 13.99
-Metal Slug 7 (DS) for 8.99!
-LoZ: Spirit Tracks (DS) for 24.99

Here are the links to deals for each system:
360
PS3
Wii
DS
PSP

Dude, get it... From a guy who doesn't really delve deep into fighting games, that's worth it.

Coming from a guy who enjoys fighting games, I found Tekken 6 to be just like the last two games. A broken and annoying engine with characters who have fought the same way for ten years.

You could always buy it and flip it and or turn it into gamestop. I got one just to put up on Ebay, if I make 15 bucks for a few clicks and a trip to the post office Im ok with that.

Amazon has buy 2 get 1 on 360 platinum hits. There are some pretty solid pickups to be had (ie. you can get Fallout 3, Mass Effect and Bioshock for under 50 bucks shipped) for those that held off on buying these for whatever reason.
