I love puzzle games (The real kind, like Tetris, not like dumb Puzzle Mode in Tetris Attack =:-B) and yeah, I plaed Dr. Mario for the first time in ages the other day. It was so bitchin'. That's why I ended up totally half-assing the first SNES Challenge, actually, I was playing too much Dr. Mario. And oh man, I've been playing so much Dr. Mario lately. I always thought everyone I knew just sucked at that game, but then I got it on WiiWare and started playing online, and apparently I actually am above average at it. NS and I had a little tourney that ended with me winning eleven games to five, though at one point I had the lead eleven - two. I also beat Fern, Ry, and Ghandi. And man, I freakin' love this. I haven't gotten to play Dr. Mario with people since I was a kid, really, and back then I used to kick everyone's ass. Turns out I still do, woo! Anyway, everyone here should go to IRC whenever and line up a match with me.

<Drew_Linky> Well, I've eaten vegetables all of once in my life.

You know I'm up for a game a lot Smile

Tetris Attack is more my forte and I've had to relearn the differences in Dr. Mario, but I'm still pretty good at it. I just have to get my mind to think of how the pill's gravity works and not the blocks in other games Very Happy

The Puzzle Mode in Tetris Attack IS a bit redundant since it's already a puzzle game. Playing on Endless will usually satisfy your puzzle needs Very Happy Some of those puzzles are REALLY hard though.

If Dr. Mario got a real reboot sorta thing, they should add a Puzzle Mode into it.

A nasty bout of Pneumonia landed me in the hospital when I was 8, almost took me out. They had a Nintendo they would wheel from room to room in the ICU, and one of the games I remember playing was Dr. Mario. I'm not sure if it saved my life, but it's fun to assume so.

The other day I went to my parents house to have dinner. While there my dad hands me the box to Dr. Mario in a Ziploc freezer bag and asks me if it is mine. I said yes, because it was, and took it. There was no cartridge in it though. Where the hell did it go?

Well.. I guess I have an original Dr. Mario box and no game.

If you enjoyed Dr. Mario on the NES, then I fully recommend you track down a cart of Dr. Mario 64. It's amazing and is just as good, if not better than the original.

My uncle and I used to play Dr. Mario, his hands were always really cold.
