Vampires drink blood. Human blood, specifically. Vampires stay out of the sunlight lest they burst into flames. They certainly do not sparkle as though somebody blasted them with a shotgun full of rhinestones. Those are called pixies. And as for vampire baseball... fuck you, Meyer. The vampires on this list certainly do not represent the cream of the crop themselves. However, despite their relative lameness they still kick the shit out of Twilight's sorry excuse for the bloodsucking undead.

Vampires from Interview With The Vampire and The Lost Boys make this list.

Personally, pretty much ANY other vampire is better than the Twilight vamps.

It's my understanding that vampires in general were just fine up until Interview. Twilight was the death knell to the image of vampires everywhere.

So much hatred for Twilight, and I'm sure rightfully so but...am I the only one who just doesn't care? I just don't acknowledge it one way or the other.

Nah man, you definitely aren't the only one. I think it's just as annoying to have people make multiple page threads about disliking something. Some people can't just dislike something, they have to pretend like its an insult and are offended by how bad something is. People are like "it offends me because I love good books!" but thats a dumb argument. Hitler wrote a book, I don't see as much hatred for fucking Mein Kampf as I have seen for Twilight, and it's rather silly.

Mein Kampf caused a veritable cultural revolution, but it wasn't written for ineffectual 14-year-old girls who squeal when they see pretty boys sparkle and have sympathetic curses. Or as I heard someone put it, "My boyfriend saves me and has powers!"

At least that's the impression I get.
