So I remember playing the first game on the PS2 and it was pretty amazing. By the time the sequal came out I was out of country and just never got back to it. So has anyone played all 3? Was wondering if the other 2 were worth picking up.

super duper long cut scenes. i only recall the first one. i dont think i ever got around to 2 or 3.

From what I have read the first is the best, the other two have some serious problems.

They completely changed the gameplay in 2 and I didn't really like it. It's been too long since I last played to really remember why though. Too repetitive, probably.
Never played 3.

I own 2, and for some reason just couldn't tolerate more than the first hour. I loved the first one so much.

I've played all 3 games, and yes 2 sucked ass. Every game after the first had more and more staff departures/changes that the sextology became a trilogy. There was a version of 1+2 on the DS that took the gameplay more from 2 but it only came out in Japan.

Man, that sucks. I really enjoyed 1 but it just ended on you abruptly. Then the sequel was like 2 years away, and now I hear that it sucks. That's a shame, they had something good with that first one.

Whoops I meant to say Xenosaga 1+2 takes most of its gameplay from the combat system in game 1. Xenosaga 3 is pretty good but the 2nd game is the weakest link in the chain.

I still enjoyed Xenosaga 2. I liked the story. The normal gameplay wasn't too bad, but I think it's all those times you control those A.G.W.S. that really annoyed me.
I should finish it now that my PS2 doesn't risk exploding because of power surges.
Also, what does the thread titl...never mind.
