I used to when i went to the toilet check behind the toilet to see if their were spiders. In case i dunno they climbed up my butt or something... i dunno it was just paranoia - i hate spiders, i guess i would have freaked out if i didn't see them coming.

That reminds me, one time I got out of the shower and dried off. After I put the towel back on the rack I saw a humongous spider crawling around on the towel. Scared me at first, then I realized the spider was probably a lot more freaked out.

Granted I do own a couple Glocks and an AR 15, those pics aren't mine. I pulled them from a firearms forum I frequent, though you can find them if you punch "Shower gun" into google as well.

Ah yes another foible of mine, if I see a spider in a room, I can't be at peace until it's dead, whatever I was going to do in that room takes a backseat to spider destruction, as I KNOW it will kill me in my sleep if I don't get him first.

I leave spiders alone unless they've bitten me. I was freaked out because I couldn't tell if I had just rubbed a spider all over my naked body, or it just happened to crawl on the towel after I hung it up.

I don't really believe anything superstitious, but I do have a weird fear of lightning to the point I don't want to touch anything metal outside in a storm.

Fear of lightning is pretty rational if you ask me.

Well then with the assurance of one only slightly less anonymous person on the internet I laugh heartily at all you plebs and your non-religious superstitions.

Is it weird to have a fear or meteor showers? If it is weird, than I'm not scared of them. If it's not weird, I'm fucking terrified of looking at the night sky. Embarrassed

I don't know why, but every time I drive over railroad tracks, I have to lift my feet up. It's so second nature now that I do it in the middle of a conversation or on business trips.

When I see a car with a headlight out, I immediately hit the roof of my car and yell Padiddle!

No, I don't think I will fuck Stummies.

I've got plenty of OCD twitches, but I don't think that qualifies as superstitions. I think the biggest one I have is the same with any Marine who is near a track vehicle. Don't eat or carry apricots. Sounds weird because it is. This shit goes back to WW2.

I actually intentionally try NOT to be supersitious, for fear of developing a superstition that will inhibit me in some way.

But I suppose deliberately NOT behaving superstitiously is a superstition in itself.

1) If I see something even remotely disgusting, I hold my breath until I take my eyes off of it.

2) I can't help but get this eerie vibe whenever I'm home alone, talking to someone over the phone, and the person I'm talking to is in a place full of people; especially if said scenario takes place in the evening.

3) I hate the dark. Hate it. I always get this feeling that someone or something is waiting to jump me.

4) I believe that Shadow People exist.

For a time in my childhood I had a fear of Mike Tyson hiding in the dark corners of my home waiting to ambush me. This was long before I learned of any of the rape allegations, by the way.

I'm not a bad enough dude, but I am an edgy little shit. I'll do what I can.

When I was competitive shooting on the rifle team, I always have a bullet set aside for the last shot. After my prone position time ended, I would have to shoot it down range between the sighting targets. If I hit it dead center then Standing would be 70, if it was near the higher target, then it would be higher then 70, if it was closer to the bottom one it would be lower then 70.

Not really a superstition, but once I start walking somewhere, I will not stop or lessen my pace until I get there. This is especially true at work or at the mall. I don't care if there are slower people walking in front of me, or if there are people otherwise obstructing me, I will find away around them, even if I have to strafe to do so.

What if a friend spots you from the food court as you pass and says, "Hey Syd!"? Will you just keep going with a friendly shout, "Sorry friend! I cannot stray!"?

Kidding aside, I'm the same way. I love to walk quickly and will try to keep my pace up for as long as possible. I don't look like a weirdo power walker, but I love the breeze on my face and it feels like I'm going much faster than I am and thus, getting more done.

I always have the urge to shove anyone who is walking slower than me in the mall.
