It's alright, back when I was too young to know better, I bought a strategy guide to get me through the temple. Also, my Diddy Kong Racing adventure mode completion time was nine years.

Well, it took me 3 years to beat the smile/face/whatever the 6th dungeon is called in Link's Awakening, partly because I was playing on the original Game Boy
and the hint for where to place a bomb is nearly invisible on it (and fucking obvious on a Game Boy Color).

It's cool. The only Zelda games I've ever played were Link to the Past, OoT, and Four Swords. Didn't beat them, either (no thanks to the fucking water temple).

Majora's Mask was a pain in the ass to beat, possibly because I never new about the Fierce Deity mask you could get if you got all the masks.

The Legend of Zelda - beat 5-6 times (Master Quest once)
Zelda II - beat once
A Link to the Past - beat 5-6 times
Oracle of Ages - beat once
Ocarina of Time - beat 5-6 times
Majora's Mask - beat 5 times
Wind Waker - beat twice
Twilight Princess - beat twice

Only game I got stuck in was Link's Awakening. I couldn't reach any new areas for some reason and never figured it out.

Well, Link's Awakening has a few areas where taking the wrong path can make the game unbeatable, but usually it involves dungeon keys.

It's not that bad, I hate the original zelda (why is everything a fucking desert!) and never beat it. Also I never technically beat Majora's mask I beat the final boss but it was on a partially completed game.

I beat Twilight Princess a couple of weeks ago. It is quite possibly the longest game I have ever played, taking me 51 hours to beat it, with the help of a player's guide.

It's still the best Zelda game since Link to the Past though.

Sidenote: (can somebody fucking please bring back the ice/fire rods and/or the element medallions?)

Ocarina of Time had the equivalent of medallions in the three magic spells you could find: Din's Fire, Farore's Wind, and Nayru's Love.

I beat the original Legend of Zelda but had to use a Game Genie to not take damage or lose money. I beat most of the others pretty easily though. I beat Ocarina of Time fairly easily.

The water temple didn't give you any trouble?

It did and that was the hardest temple for me. The water temple was the only really hard part for me. The shadow temple was kind of hard but not as hard as the water temple.

Also for me the hardest boss was that electric jellyfish boss in the stomach of Jabu- Jabu. The other bosses had patterns that were a lot easier to get used to. Even Ganondorf/Ganon felt like they were a lot easier than they probably should have been. I mean all you had to do with Ganondorf was really time your sword swings to hit his magic back at him, wait for him to miss and then attack and jump away when he got up.

Don't get me wrong, I love Ocarina of Time and it was the first video game I remarked was "beaitiful" when I first played it. Like the scenery and all that looked amazing back in 1998. For some reason it felt a little on the easy side but I still consider it to be one of the greatest games of all time.

Best of luck to you. That is a really cool thing you're doing by trying to beat the game.

Spells ≠ the medallions. Din's Fire wasn't nearly as cool as Bombos; shit motherfucking exploded around you!. Nayru was completely useless. I actually made myself try it out just to see what it was like, then after 10 seconds I was like "this sucks." There was already something like that without a spell in LttP anyway, the Cane of Somalia.

And yea there were the fire and ice arrows- fuck that shit, I want rods. If I want to shoot the bow, I'm gonna use the regular arrows.

I've never beaten one either, to be honest. The first Zelda game I actually owned was for Gamecube, and that was Windwaker. I had never even played any Zelda's before OoT, and even that one I didn't play for very long. When I was that age, they just didn't interest me really. I know, fucked up kid.

I beat Windwaker, and a few years later I would realize what I had missed so I bought OoT and dragged the ol 64 out. Only got the part where you turn into an adult when something tore me away from it. I have since played all the other Zelda games, and I am currently playing Twilight Princess.

TP is alright, I'm about 10 hours in. It just doesn't really feel like a Zelda game for me, and that's what keeps me from loving it, I believe.
