Do you ever look at game lots on eBay and wonder what the fuck these people were thinking? Like, are these the games that GameStop wouldn't touch? I'm in the market for a PS2 right now, and a lot of the PS2s on eBay are being sold with game lots. Almost all of them are terrible.

Here's a lot of 32 games someone was selling with their PS2:

Call of Duty 3 Special Edition (T)
Star Wars Battlefront (T)
Star Wars Battlefront II (T)
Star Wars The Video Game (E)
Star Wars Episode 3 Revenge of the Sith (T)
ESPN NBA 2 Night 2002 (E)
American Idol (E)
Need For Speed Underground (E)
SSX3 (Snowboarding) (E)
MX Unleashed (E)
Burnout 3 Takedown (T)
Crash Bandicoot The Wrath of Cortex (E)
NFL Street (E)
NBA Street V 3 (E)
NFL Street 3 (E)
W Smackdown vs Raw 2007 (T)
Frogger The Great Quest (E)
MLB Slugfest 2003 (E)
The Sims (T)
NCAA Football 2004 (E)
EA Sports NHL 2003 (E)
EA Sports NHL 2005 (E)
Need for Speed Most Wanted (T)
Medal of Honor European Assult (T)
Battlefield 2 Modern Combat (T)
Dynasty Warriors 4 (T)
Spiderman (E)
Spiderman 2 (T)
EA Sports Rugby 2006 (E)
EA Sports Madden 2005 (E)
EA Sports Madden 2007 (E)
Mercenaries 2 World in Flames (T)

Dear fucking God, what an awful list. Did this person own stock in EA or something? Only games in this lot I'd really want would be Burnout 3 and Dynasty Warriors. I'd probably play Crash and SSX3 too. Everything else, meh. SUPER MEH.

I have to believe many of them were unasked for Christmas/birthday presents. I have a copy of EA sports Rugby and I sure as hell didn't asked for that abominiation of a game. The 4 decent games this person probably had were the only ones Game Stop would take.

No, I don't think I will fuck Stummies.

More like you should burn those games off the face of the earth. Spiderman wasn't too bad for a PS2 game when it first came out, but it's a cess pool of a franchise now. I didn't know that there was a BF2 for PS2... I think what it is, is that they bought all these game but realized that they would almost never play them again after they beat them. And since most of those won't equal diddly shit at Gamestop, E-Bay was their last resort.

I would gladly take your Rugby game off your hands...

I don't own any of those. I have about 15 PS2 games since most PS2 games were never that good to own to begin with.

They just want to be rid of it and can't think of any better way to move it. As for me, if GameStop won't take it, the local Cash Converters will judging by what I see there.

These people probably don't consider shipping until after the auction.

I'm not a bad enough dude, but I am an edgy little shit. I'll do what I can.

My question is why did they own these games in the first place, not why are they selling them.

speaking from personal experience, I can highly recommend these games ^^^

most of the time, the worthwhile games are sold seperately, and the rest stick around to make the lot look bigger.

Ah, well that would make sense. Always wondered why there were so many lots without a single A-list title in them.

SSX 3 and Takedown are really great games, i wouldn't mind checking out merc 2, dw4, and the frogger one. I wouldn't wipe my arse with the spiderman games.

Does anyone know what starwars the video game and ep 3 are like?

ep 3 is basically a much crazier version of jedi power battles, which was one of my favorite star wars games.

mercs2 was horrendous, bland, and badly programmed on the 360, so I can only imagine how it is on something less powerful. DW4 is just a DW game. either you're a huge fan of the genre, or it's just another DW game.

what was wrong with the spiderman games? have you played them?

Merc 2 is much better on the next gen systems, like X-Box or PS3. Frogger has nothing to do with Frogger aside from the name and the tiny frog.

Didn't they change Frogger's look? I could've sworn they humanized him and put him in overalls or something.

Depends on what you're looking for. Here's what I got:

Ape Escape 2
GTA San Andreas
GTA Vice City
GTA Vice City Stories
Jak and Daxter
Jak 2
Jak 3
Katamari Damacy
Kingdom Hearts
Max Payne
MGS 2
MGS 3
WWE SD vs. Raw 2006 (I was an idiot and traded this for HCTP)

And I bought another 5 "top rated" games for full price and ended up getting rid of them for a few dollars. So really, if there was ever a system that disapointed me with my wallet, it's PS2.

It was something retarded like that. I though it was a Franklin game when I saw the package.

Yes i've played them, i wouldn't comment on them otherwise. I just didn't like them but everyone has different tastes, i love Spiderman on the ps1 though.

Crash Bandicoot : Wrath of Cortex is incredibly good, as is SSX3.

I'm curious to know what was so bad about them, in your eyes, considering the first spiderman movie game is basically spiderman from the ps1.

I feel that spiderman 2 revolutionized the free roaming superhero genre. I don't think we'd have games like prototype, infamous, or (shudder) superman returns if spiderman 2 didn't pave the way.

I'm not trying to argue. I just want to better understand your view.

Maybe i was a little bit harsh to say what i said, i know what it's like when someone insults a game you really love. i played them both on the same day and i just found them boring but maybe that has something to do with how much i'd played the fuck out of the ps1 one.

I didn't see Spiderman 2 on the list, I fucking loved that game as well. I don't think I ever actually beat it, I just swung around the city for hours at a time. Here is my take on most of those:

EA Sports Rugby - Rugby is fun to watch, not fun to pretend play.
EA Madden - They are all about the same, and only fun to play with a friend.
Dynasty Warriors 4 - Fun but repetitive. I broke it out of anger.
Need for Speed Most Wanted - Just didn't feel like a Need for Speed game, but was semi enjoyable. I would not pay for it though.
The Sims - It's OK for a couple hours, than it's just blargh.
American Idol - Never played it, assuming it's awful.
Star Wars Revenge of the Sith - Boring ass gameplay. I broke it out of anger.
Star Wars Battlefront 1+2 - These consumed many moons for me, but I can't ever bring myself to play them again.
Medal of Honor European Assault - Fun for a while, but almost no replay value.

I think that's the main thing here, a lot of those games really were kinda fun but they all share the same characteristic: No replay value.

you know something? that might be why I like it so much. This always puzzled me, because I don't really enjoy racing games in general, and especially never seem to enjoy need for speed games, but for some reason this one was really fun and addictive to me. I could never figure out what I liked about it, but this makes sense now.

I enjoyed NBA Jam on the ps2 with a hangover, it was pretty hectic.

I'm not a massive sports game fan other than the Pro Evolution Soccer games. Anyone here play pro?
