Google execs found guilty after random thugs bully kid & post video to Google Video.

A video of four Italian kids harassing a 17-year-old boy with Down's Syndrome was uploaded to Google Video in September 2006. Following a complaint, the Italian authorities asked Google to take the video down, which they did within 24 hours.

Today, even though they had nothing to do with the bullying incident, nothing to do with the video being posted and despite Google cooperating with the police, three Google execs have been given a suspended jail sentence, following a conviction of invasion of privacy.

In an official blog posting, Google have understandably protested against the Italian judge's ruling. Imagine the millions of items added to Google's various platforms like Google Video, Blogger and YouTube every single day. Over 100 million videos are uploaded to YouTube worldwide daily and this ruling means Google can potentially be held accountable for every single one uploaded to the Italian version of the site. Unbelievable and very, very wrong.

Yeah I read about that, it's retarded. Have they punished the people who made / uploaded the video? That seems the right direction to blunder in, not this.

Wow... just wow.

Imagine if one of us uploaded a video here at Sydlexia.com and Syd was told that he has a warrant for his arrest in Italy. That is how fucking stupid this is. With that said, I think we should test this theory. Twisted Evil

I kid, I kid. Still, this is beyond ridiculous.

I'm sorry, I meant to say that the whole situation is handicapable, and deserves the utmost understanding and respect.
