I liked watching the prototype for RE4. Capcom should have just taken Leon out of that and replaced him with an all new character, as this game isn't RE material. A good name could have been "A New Haunting: Attack of the Hook Man".

It got made into Devil May Cry.

I should've known that. In fact, I did, but didn't mention it because I didn't know if Capcom kept that exact game in.

Did that game at least keep the Hook Man in it?

I think I could've enjoyed RE5 more if it weren't for the enforced 2nd player part of it. CPU controlled, she was an idiot. Second player? My wife always insisted on playing, and while it's awesome I am married to someone that wants to play video games with me, it's not a great thing when this is the first Resident Evil game she's ever played.

THIS. Same here, I was stoked to play this game, but it is near impossible to enjoy with the computer hosing you at every corner. WTF Capcom? RE4 = Great Game, why fuck with that formula? Innovation is often overrated.

I agree. I was really looking forward to RE5 and it was a disappointment. The AI on your partner was horrible. I remember getting attacked by some enemies and only took a little damage. Still the AI partner decided to use up all of the first aid spray on me for that small bit of damage.
