Good for Nintendo.
I don't have a giant problem with people downloading 17 year old games that they literally can't buy anywhere else. I do have a problem with the modern emulation culture that feels everything needs to be emulated.
The whole mantra in the early 90's was "emulate so we don't lose it to time" but that shit has vanished. Now we have kids walking around playing Nintendo DS games before they are even put on the shelves and it's fucking sickening.

You're totally right. I cut the line of decent taste emulating at N64/PSX, but even that is stretching it.
Most OS' don't even have good PSX/N64 emulators.

Yeah. Currentgen piracy is bad. It destroys the industry. And it hurts specialty titles the most.

Yep, that's about right. With the PS2's backwards compatibility, there should be no reason to emulate those games, especially when the majority are available pretty easily.

The only games I've ever even considered emulating, were games like Mother 3 which aren't available to us in the states. I've never done it, but that would be the only reason I would consider it.

For me, it's these and Arcade games that don't have a console version.

They meant New Super Mario Bros. Wii. Not SMB for the NES.

Nintendo has an Arcade section on the VC, so it's only a matter of time before Arm Wrestling is available.
