I made about $175 bucks off ebay for Final Fantasy 2,3 and Chrono Trigger. Just those 3 games alone. However I did have the case and manuals.

This isn't a complaint about Game Stop, it's a complaint about idiots who trade in games without the cases. I never understood how people can manage to lose the game case/manual. Back in the NES days, when your game came in a shitty cardboard box, sure, I can understand losing that. Hell, I threw those boxes out right after opening them. You didn't keep your games in those. You bought special boxes for your NES games, or just left them stacked by the TV in the dust sleeves. But game cases these days are designed to store the game. And the manual should be in there, because you should never have to look it. I don't understand how someone ends up trading Ikaruga - Game Disc Only to Game Stop or putting it on eBay. How did you lose the game/manual? What, are you fucking retarded or something? |
I feel this pain. especially considering these things come in DVD cases, as opposed to the easy to break jewel cases of the previous generation.

So basically it was a gamestop, so everything that I said above applies. unless you mean that you bought it during the time when EB was owned by gamestop but wasn't operated like one yet? If that's the case, I feel your pain, man. I still can't understand why that company did half the things that they did.
I dunno man. I just find it aggravating to hear people say how terrible gamestop is, when getting right down to the issue, there really isn't anything that bad to be so mad about. I know this might not be you specifically, but it seems to be the general consensus on the internet these days, and your post just made me think about it a bit. I buy LOTS of games from gamestop, and with a little bit of time invested in finding good cases and being careful about peeling stickers, I can proudly say that most of my collection looks as if I bought it brand new. I feel as if anyone here is capable of this.

Got all of them outside of Act Raiser 2
And the only reason I'm holding out is because I don't have the original yet
The only game I'm really looking for right now is Pocky and Rocky/Pocky and Rocky 2

on that subject, I just found out that heavenly guardian isn't a wii exclusive title. I might try to pick it up on the ps2 now, as I don't think I gave it a fair chance, but having to use th wiimote killed it for me.

I liked it on the Wii, and I really don't understand what your complaint was with the controls. The controls were super basic. I mean, was it really that inconvenient that you had to lightly shake the remote to do super freeze attacks against bosses and at obvious junctions when they made it clear they were about to throw 100 guys at you? Everything else was directionals and buttons. I beat the game no problem, and I came damn close to beating the second runthrough where bosses have a lot more hitpoints. Couldn't quite kill the end boss though. But I know I couldn't have done it on the SNES, either.
That being said, it really should have been a WiiWare title or a GBA title. It was a SNES game, right down to the music, and its $14.99 MSRP was awfully high considering that.

call it a matter of personal preference, but I found it difficult to aim with te wiimote while moving with the nunchuck. it felt kind of tacked on and unnatural. I think it will be much better for me to have just a controller in my hand.

Fair enough.
I will definitely concede that a somewhat similar budget title, Legend of the Monkey King, would have been a lot better with normal controls.

if this one is on ps2, I will probably get it as well. I had both of these games on the wii, but traded them in within a week because of the controls. I wish the wii would offer classic controller support on some of these types of games.

For shame...

Just out of curiousity, are they every going to release Gameboy games onto the VC and have them play like the Super Gameboy for the SNES?

They will probably release them on DSiWare instead of the VC. It would make more sense imo

They said repeatedly they won't release GB/GBC games on DSiware, despite fan interest. Then again, they repeatedly denied the Wii had a storage issue, then finally "fixed" it three years later.

This is my collection minus a few games I think I'll come back to that I played as a kid. These are the ones I hadn't really played as a kid and don't see myself having the attention span to play through them all. I would keep Chrono Trigger but I have it on DS now.
PM's have been sent, I would be looking at ebay values minus shipping. Ash said about 150 on ebay(as far as value) so that's what I'm looking for delivered. I don't have a camera but i can provide scans for anyone is really interested or I can try and borrow a camera is scans won't do.

I feel so sorry for you PAL people. Your games are too slow. |
lol..yeah well...we have better......box cover art...SO THERE!! : P
Anyway you tune in to whatever you play. I remember the first time i played SMB at 60, it felt too fast and i kept running into goombas!. But now when i try playing Nes Snes or Megadrive games on the emulator at 50, it feels horribly slow. God bless the emulator!
