Assuming you're referencing Star Wars here, you may not realize it, but Lucas didn't write or direct Episodes 5 or 6. (He co-wrote 6 with Lawrence "Raiders of the Lost Ark" Kazdan.)

soooo, what's this about GITS being made into live action. I mean not ever anime should be made into live action, i'm aware of the live action The Melchanoly of Haruhi Suzumiya, which baffled me because how . . . just . . . how.

I have yet to see any of the GITS, movies or anime series. Everything i know is from wiki Sad but if such a thing is being made i can only hope they:

1) make it rated R
2) they choose a hot actress to play Motoko Kusanagi
3) they keep the "yuri innuendo" aspect of her character
4) cyber-nudity:

2) is probably a guarantee but i can forget 1 and 3 . . . maybe 4 still has a chance though. Twisted Evil

Links, pics, vids . . . I shall post these when given the chance

Actually, I'm in the boat that believes Lucas directed most of Jedi as the credited director was a dick.

Spielberg to make live-action 3D "Ghost in the Shell".

Universal and Sony were also chasing "Ghost in the Shell," but Steven Spielberg took personal interest in the property and made it happen at DreamWorks.

" 'Ghost in the Shell' is one of my favorite stories," Spielberg said. "It's a genre that has arrived, and we enthusiastically welcome it to DreamWorks."

Live-Action Ghost in the Shell Writer Discusses Film

The websites MoviesOnline.ca and ScreenRant.com have both posted interviews with Laeta Kalogridis, the current screenwriter for Dreamworks and Steven Spielberg's planned live-action adaptation of Masamune Shirow's Ghost in the Shell cyber-police manga. Kalogridis was once also hired by James Cameron to script his planned adaptation of Yukito Kishiro's Battle Angel Alita (GUNNM) manga. She is also an executive producer and screenwriter on Martin Scorsese's Shutter Island and an executive producer on Cameron's Avatar.

In the interviews, Kalogridis reiterated that the script for the live-action Ghost in the Shell will be based on Shirow's original manga and not Production I.G and Mamoru Oshii's animated movie adaptation. Like the manga, Kalogridis said the upcoming movie will have "a lot of action … lots of action."
