I mean, give me a break! All my life I thought they were decent sized bits of chocolate chip cookies, and all it is is golden crisp minus the honey and two chocolate chips.
Maybe I would have liked it had I not had it for the first time when I was 21.

I'm not trying to start an argument but how is Golden Crisp and Cookie Crisp similar at all, besides the obvious Crisp at the end of their names?

Yeah kind of with you on that one. I mean, neither the flavor nor texture is anything like golden crisp.
However, it IS a huge disappointment, and tastes nothing like cookies. Not a great cereal imo.

The burglar sort of devolved into a dog. Nowadays, they seem to have switched over to a timberwolf in a tracksuit.

Maybe I'm thinking Corn Pops.

As long as you're ready for the fact they don't taste to much like actual cookies, it's a pretty damn good cereal.

He was adopted by the wizard that use to be on the Cookie Crisp boxes back in the 70s.
As for the cereal I like it, but I don't think it tastes anything like cookies. Anybody else here remember Vanilla Cookie Crisp? I used to like that better than the chocolate chip variety. I seem to remember a Christmas themed Cookie Crisp at one point too.

after years of only being able to foil the cookie crook's plans, but never able to catch him and bring him to justice, the cookie cop devoted his life to bringing him to justice. it became an obsession. his wife left him, his child wont talk to him, his peers have lost respect for him. the cookie cop has truly lost everything. finally, after a botched heist, he chased the cookie crook down a back alley where he shot him dead before waiting for backup. the cookie cop was taken in for excessive force and murder. his life is now officially over, but still he smiles, because he finally caught his bad guy.

That was a terrible cereal. It tasted like those malt-o-meals that come in bags that have an after taste like garbage. I tried to stick to Count Chocula or Fruitty Pebbles when I wanted my milk to be a different color.
I'm wondering if we should build some sort of containment facility to house the various food discussions that we're all very fond of.

nice, i was hoping it would be something like this.
and to whoever mentioned malt-o-meal cereals, considering their price, they are actually not a bad alternative

As much as it was garbage, I still ate it as a kid and enjoyed it.
In fact I was one of a very few amount of people who found the exclusively rare Lion King pog you trade in for a copy of the movie. Of course, I'm an idiot and actually did it, to this day...I still wish I had that pog...only 100 were ever made.

I miss cookie crisp. It had that bear on the box correct? I would eat that every moring watching 8Am cartoons. It would get so chocolately that I could drink the milk out the bowl. Sometimes it is good to be an American kid.

Golden Crisp had the bear on it...Sugar Bear, of course.
Cookie Crisp has a wolf mascot now, but back in the day they had the Cookie Cop and Cookie Crook. I don't know what either of them has to do with cookie cereal.
Coco Crisp is a baseball player, not a cereal.

I remember the cereal had to be Cookie Crisps. It had a bear with a blue shirt, and a white background.
While there was Coaco Krisps. I never remember wanting that one. Until later. I even remember the commercial where the bear ate some of the cereal. The bear was kinda laid back sounding.

Pretty much. I seem to recall very little, if any, difference between them.
